You're saying it as if he declared all of Mexicans rapists, which he didn't more so than say not all people crossing the border are good people. If you ever saw what goes down at the border and around it you would change your opinion real quick, not only would you change your opinion but you would probably want a bigger wall and stricter border control than Trump does. It's very messy down there and not pretty at all, it's actually horrifying in a lot of cases and if you ask any of the people working with border control they would tell you the same thing based on experience and not based on ideology.

Adding onto that, that's the reason why the overwhelming majority of people working in any type of national security so to say, like military, border control, police, support Trump. It's because they don't live in the same bubble as more common folks do, their illusions are quickly shattered by the reality of things and that's the fastest way to realize things are not as black and white as everyone makes them out to be.

hate is hate, to brush it off as a joke, or as "trolling" is wrong.  ask yourself why someone may find those jokes funny.  it's usually (if not always) because of one's hateful views.

you're also right that I do have a problem with people suggesting views that I don't agree with, those views just happen to be racist, sexist, xenophobic, etc. views.  weird

so if white supremacy is okay in there, what exactly crosses the line?

It wasn't students spouting hate, the crowd was largely made of middle-aged adults.  by brushing off hate, you allow them to represent you.  I have yet to see you actually denounce hate, only defend it.

the motherfucker was wearing a lapel mic.  I may have said worse when I was 12, but I've grown up since then, and have rejected hateful views.  Trump wasn't a 12 year old when that was recorded.  adults should know better.

I would appreciate if you could give any statistics for this, though a certain occupation doesn't make one infallible.  I live in a state where that was proven over the summer, when an innocent black man was shot and killed by an officer after being pulled over.  In fact, many argue that this is a larger problem with the police as a whole.

I'd just like to say, I've seen the above "justification" ad nauseam from Trump apologists, and it never ceases to amuse me that people actually think that "Well I'm a sexist asshole sometimes so it's okay for the president of the world's most powerful country to be a sexist asshole" is a good argument. The sad reality is, it works in reverse too so future sexist assholes will say "Well the president of the world's most powerful country is a sexist asshole so it's okay for me to be a sexist asshole too! ". With that in mind, I would just like to make my opinion abundantly clear, that it's never okay to be a sexist asshole.

It's an important point that she makes, but you're right in that she does not get why the Dem.'s continue losing. When you cede an entire demographic to your opponent and do not speak directly to them and their concerns, of course they will go to the person(s) who are speaking to them.
