As some of you may know, i'm starting my own furniture compagny, and i'm the worst of the worst when it comes to chose a name, so I started to take a look in a latin dictionnary, and ended up stealing names from the mythology :D

Anyway, I have a small poll with some of the name i've chosen, I would really appreciate if you could take the time to judge them.

Here's the poll

Be aware i'm not looking for the typical 'RAVWOOD3000' name, I look for something more subtle that doesn't necessarily explain the product, I want a brand name, not a compagny name, if you see what I mean.

If you have some great ideas for a name, don't hesitate to make a proposition :)

Also btw, i've found the industrial building, and i'm busy with the bank to make it happen :celebrate:, moar info soon.

Cast my preferences. Sorry, but I didn't see something that particularly excited me, i've put only one 4 the rest is between 3 and 2.

Have you tried with the process of listing the attributes you want your clients to think about when they see your name? Because for example Kratos symbolizes authority and doesn't seem a good fit to me; also sounds just harsh and makes me think of wood splinters, in relation to furniture. Prometheus is famous for stealing the fire, which to me has a negative accent (I don't want to think of my furniture and fire together), although he's also the creator of mankind, which could be positive... so you could for example look up translation of names or related qualities. Just to stick with the Prometheus example: look up some African language translation for "creator" or "creation". And so on.

IMO none of the names you picked really stand out as something that is for a furniture company. I think Atlas came the closest.

Perhaps you want to look into stuff carrying some more meaning. For instance like Kintsugi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kintsugi (not saying that Kintsugi would be appropriate for a furniture company, but the word does carry a strong definition with it - perhaps you could find a word that defines your work/company/brand?). I had some names with meaning behind them :

Rifari : Elaborated in corsica

Puro : Pure in portuguese

Kencho : Remarkable in japanese

Quite like them, especially Rifari but idk
