Will this fly with the demographic in the ad? I'm 30, I commute to work, but I carry two devices and a bunch of other shit already. There's not enough time to whip it out and play Zelda during the day anyway. Feels bad man.

It makes sense to market a product like this to your core audience, the kids and the moms will come.

I've started playing my 3ds again. Good phone games are rare and fleeting, and Twitter is bad for my blood pressure during the election season.

Nothing but rumors that I've seen. It supposedly has a multitouch screen, at least, according to "inside sources". If by tablet features you mean an Android OS and non-gaming functionality though, I doubt it.

I hope it doesn't, I have my cellphone for that. This should be a gaming console first and foremost, portable or not.

Well the Wii was the console that sported a browser… even without Android, they could easily include a browser and a couple other native apps.

This thing is by all means just a tablet in a dock, with gamepad support. They have built what some people wanted to Kickstart for the iPad.

To me it would make sense that it could let you leave your standard tablet at home.

In the same boat. I might consider it further down the line but if i did get one it would just be for the fact that it's a Nintendo console and I've been waiting since the Gamecube to pick another one up, but they keep coming with all these gimmicks which don't interest me. I wouldn't ever see myself using the portability for it. I'd also hope they release a better controller though as the one that breaks apart looks too big and awkwardly shaped.

To me, that trailer could easily be one of those satirical videos about video game addiction, I mean the guy can't even go out to a field to walk his dog without scratching his itch to play some more Skyrim. I guess this means I'm in the 'getting too old' camp as well
