The Siege of Jadotville, close enough! Your turn! :)

Ah yeah, “assault” didn’t sound right :D

Lets stay on war themed movies, started with an idea and sidetracked by the results ?

Oh, that's Sniper-something, can't remember what.

It’s just Sniper :D the first in the series of B-movies

The left one look like "Chavez", so I'm thinking it's in the Jack Ryan universe.

No I just posted Clear and Present Danger the other day, couldn’t post it again (Chavez is the sniper in that one – the actor would be the man playing Tuco Salamanca in Better Call saul; this one is Billy Zane, the mean husband from Titanic! – see, I’ve seen that ;) thought was funny to go full circle after the misunderstanding yday lol)

AKA:

Brazil Sniper, O Atirador
Canada (English title) Sniper
Canada (French title) Tireur d'élite
Germany Sniper - Der Scharfschütze
Denmark Snigskytten
Spain En el corazón de la jungla
Finland Sniper - sala-ampuja
France Sniper - Tireur d'élite
Greece (transliterated ISO-LATIN-1 title) Eleftheros skopeftis
Croatia Snajper
Hungary Lopakodók
Italy One Shot One Kill - A colpo sicuro
Japan (English title) (literal title) Leopard Never Sleeps
Japan Yamaneko wa nemuranai
Poland Snajper
Portugal Beckett, O Atirador
Romania Lunetistul
Romania Ţintaş de elită
Serbia Snajperista
Russia Снайпер

I might have seen a trailer in a hotel/motel in the 90's whilst in Europe, or on a plane, I never actually saw the movie myself, just knew it had the word 'sniper' in the title somewhere. :)

So - I wins?

edit: It might be an idea to formulate/summarise which films have been used on the front page, so as not to repeat them, as we are at 55 pages now!

Haven’t seen this one either, but is the one were McGregor writes a biography and gets entangled with that man problems/dark past.

Havent seen it and don’t recall the title…

Yup, Roman Polanski film from a few short years ago. You win, just name it for clarity and we can move on :)

I just posted as a hint, haven’t seen it and to name it I’d need to look it up so against the rules.

Plus I just did the last so someone else’s turn ;)

Fair play. I posted it as it does have a few variants on the name globally, as I was thinking about the last film and the number of variants it has, hence my listing of this. As an aside, I got into a lengthy argument with an ex-colleague about the title of the film, as the international trailer had one name, yet the version released onto home DVD/BD had another name.
