Hello Mapcore,

I would like to discuss my map with you. My map isn't quite brilliant as you might think it is. It's just a progressive map for the future. But still its fun to tweak this map in such way that it might become a good map. this is all up to you :)

Location: New York, Waterloo

Original idea was to make a contest map at /r/csmapmakers and later on i saw potentional defusal based map in it.

I gave this map a go yesterday and found that it's hard to spot anything wrong with the map. There is a ton of routes everywhere, and I'm pretty sure that there are too many, but deciding which routes to remove and/or edit is beyond me. The best thing to do would be to playtest this map in a MapCore playtesting session, which I hasn't been done yet, right? :)

There are a few things that I don't personally like though:

  • The room with 2 doors back-to-back
  • Doors that look usable, but aren't
  • Almost 0 vertical differences
  • Bombsites are placed in cramped locations
  • Misleading radar (looks like there are entrances where there are only windows in-game)

I can't say much more without playing the map with other people :P Logic out!
