st0lve
Ok, so we need a sketch thread here. I try to draw\sketch as much as I can, but not every day. I do it so that I might improve my Wacom skills, aswell as traditional drawing skills. So like we pick a theme each day\week and make shitloads of sketches? I kick off with a random sketch that I made today, my caps: ~10min PS and Graphire3.

von*ferret
build with shading, not lines.
ginsengavenger
well, hashing is a perfectly good way to build tonality, but scribbling is not. it's really incredibly difficult to hash with a wacom. in general i'd say it's more difficult to draw something from scratch using a wacom, to the point that it's usually really obvious. if you want to build drawing skills i'd stick with paper and pencil, and save the wacom for what it's better suited for---shading and retouching. Phlek
Here's a sketch of a cap I made a while ago, it was one of my first drawings I ever really tried to "do" with shading and stuff. I thought it was good for a first try.
DaanO
Sure is . I do think that it's too bad there's no shading on the cap itself, and that the upper outline of the cap is too strong
hamst3r
my favorite hat, quick sketch, didnt get to deep into the technicals. oh and unless i stop being a cheap bastard all of my sketches must be the size of a regular photo...my scanner sucks. DaanO
Often, using less lines for the basic shape gives a much better result
kleinluka
hamst3r needs to sharpen his pencil more often

st0lve
stolve, dont listen to them, i think your shading style is coolHaha. As for a black\white drawing I do it like that, but with colors, I always try to build the drawings by shades and lighting. But I hate B\Ws with only shadow really
