kleinluka Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Besides that, i'd rather survive Auschwitz than die at the front. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 if something is not entertaining in a way, i really would not care about it. and thats how i feel about alot of elitist art today At mapcore, we make games. And entertainment far outweighs the art here, depending on how you define art. nice pics step! Quote
DaanO Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Besides that, i'd rather survive Auschwitz than die at the front. Rolleyes me, but that's how i feel. I just really dislike how you people wave away arguments with stuff like this. At least write something that makes sense, or just don't start a discussion. if something is not entertaining in a way, i really would not care about it. and thats how i feel about alot of elitist art today At mapcore, we make games. And entertainment far outweighs the art here, depending on how you define art. nice pics step! Like i said, art can be very rewarding, which is entertaining as well. And the elitist art is kinda crappy i agree. Elitists artists are a bit snobby which is just not good. I don't really think art is superior to entertainment but there sure is a difference and i'd rather see art than entertainment like i said before. And you're right, i might be like someone that is shouting in the desert but meh i'll try anyway Quote
TomWithTheWeather Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Keep it civil people. Nice pics. Quote
Steppenwolf Posted April 9, 2005 Author Report Posted April 9, 2005 Honestly when i postet the pics here i didnt thought of them as art. Maybe Daano thought that because i opened a thread with art photos the same day. I just found them on my harddrive and wanted to show you interesting pics of the place where i live. Quote

U know, Auswitz was liberated by soldiers fighting on the front. Imvho it was worth fighting for, but i can understand that u dont think so and u would voluntarily live in the camp instead of liberating it by risking ur own lifes for other ppl. Todays youth is too selfcentered and naive Quote
DaanO Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 RD, stop twisting words. Or read better. Of course it was worth fighting for and i would've fought for liberating it. But risking a life is just such a different choice than the choice between life and death. Quote
csharp Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 hmm... 2nd pic.. and this is how we remember those who were in war Quote
Argyll Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Step, bring your camera with you when we meet up so that I can proceed in stealing it from you. Quote
GrayFox Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Besides that, i'd rather survive Auschwitz than die at the front. After a couple of days in Auschwitz you would have begged to get a chance to risk your life outside. Quote
DaanO Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Do you people really not understand the difference between dying and risking your life? Seriously, read a bit better. I SAID JUST WHAT YOU SAID. PFfffffff Quote
GrayFox Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Do you people really not understand the difference between dying and risking your life? Seriously, read a bit better. I SAID JUST WHAT YOU SAID. PFfffffff Ok, fair enough. What I meant to say was that you don't know how it was like in Auscwitz, not really (and neither do I), but there are some things that make you wish you were dead and there were a lot of those things in that particular camp. Some people took their own lives in there and I'm pretty sure they wished they could have died fighting. Quote
RD Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I think what Daan0 didnt understand, was that fighting in a war automatically means u are prepared to die for what ur fighting for. The only ppl who arent, think they are immortal or that war is thought with rubber bullets (which also kill btw) Quote
DaanO Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Lots of soldiers survived the war, even although lots were killed. Besides that i do think i am immortal. I plan to live forever and so far i've been doing great Quote
RD Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Maybe u are immortal Daan0. I just hope u arent buried alive then Quote
