Mojo
http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/index.ph ... s=openings We are in the process of looking for some COGs who would want to come down to good old Plano, TX area and want to work with us on our next project. We are looking to fill out these positions ASAP. Even if you aren't 100% sure, send them an email with your resume and such (shots of your work, maybe a link to a website with pictures). You would have to move down here though, so please keep that in mind.

ReNo
Hmm, kinda tempting, but I've got a few months left at uni and I'm not sure it would be feasible for a US company to hire me from Scotland for a sorta educational/entry level position such as this. Good luck to any mapcore entrants BTW, love the change from the website's... Do not submit an application if you do not meet the qualifications. You're only going to upset us. to Mojo's.... Even if you aren't 100% sure, send them an email with your resume and such

Even if you aren't 100% sure, send them an email with your resume and such well, they do have a point. I am sure they are looking for peopel that are really willing and able to move. If you plan on no starting until a few months from now, then don't send it. They want people right away, so more than liekly the best bet is for those that live in the States and are perferably close to texas

Zacker
I like your COGs program and I would love to apply, just need to be done with my education first.
st0lve
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for the COGS program must be high school graduates, legal US residents, and at least 18 years of age. Gearbox will have a limited number of COGS contracts that will be available - each contract will be filled by the best talent available. Contracts will be awarded based upon various factors - previous mod/project work, portfolio/demo reel/code sample quality, level of enthusiasm, etc. That from their press release, which means that only americans can apply (I am prolly wrong, but I am the idiot king anyway).. I think I like the COGS program aswell, but I don't think I see the difference between a COGS job and a normal job. Plano sounds like a good place, and GBX must be a kickass place to work, so if I had an education and was american, I'd hit it.
