Steppenwolf
German Front is a Mod for Call of Duty: United Offensive. The first version of the Multiplayer will be released tonight (i hope so). You can find it here: http://www.germanfrontmod.de Merderet was the first mapproject that i startet for GFM in December 2003. I worked over a long time period on the map, changed things here and there, worked on other maps, came back to it etc. I made a few mistakes with the map because i was still learning stuff, so the map is not perfect from its layout and performance but imo the result is ok and i hope that players will have much fun on the map. The map is inspired by the final scenes of the movie Saving Private Ryan. Its some kind of a Ramelle map but i added a few things like a trainbridge and a graveyard to make it more interesting. http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret01.jpg http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret03.jpg http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret04.jpg http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret05.jpg http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret06.jpg http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret07.jpg http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret08.jpg http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret09.jpg http://www.mitglied.lycos.de/ambientbub ... eret10.jpg
st0lve
Its Suze, not Soze Looks good, abit empty in some spots?
Mazy
ah looks cool, but those hedges in the last shot looks kinda weak in my opinion. Try making like 2 layers of hedge on top of each other to give a more dense look.
Steppenwolf
too late to change things honestly i hate the map cause it was some kind of a learning project for me (learned radiant and q3 mapping with it more or less). My INS maps will be much better
DaanO
Some parts look kinda cliche and beh, but overall good job. It's a bit strange to me by the way that some areas seem to be quite clean and have happy-green bushes and other parts of the map are just as dirty as hell. Anyway, looking forward to your ins maps, that's for sure!
Zyn
Sexcellent. I wonder if we'll see something like this DoD:Source ...
ginsengavenger
it looks good. fits the cod feel, and you pulled off the dark hazy atmosphere well.
Minos
I really dig the atmosphere. There are a few misaligned textures here and there but it's ok since the map seems to be huge. oh and besides the bad looking hedges theres also something with the arch on the last screenie
FrieChamp
Looks pretty decent, it's the town from "Saving Private Ryan" right?
Squad
The map is inspired by the final scenes of the movie Saving Private Ryan. Yup, it is.
