I've been working on the visuals for my second map in the past day or two, and I think I'm decently happy with the style I've created so far. The basic idea is a japanese/korean temple during winter, with pathways to the bombsites inside.

Unfortunately I didn't really have any map layout to begin with, so currently this is everything I have; and it does make me feel like switching away to another project as it's a lot easier to get work done when you have a solid idea of where you're going. Maybe with some feedback or ideas for the structure of the map I could develop this into a complete map, but for now I'm just chipping away at extra detail. It does seem lackluster to post, but I feel I could turn it into something

As you can see the roof still has some work to do, but the overall design is there

By the way, is there a way to capture higher resolution screenshots? thanks

Get a higher resolution monitor? :P

I know of DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) for nvidia graphics cards, but I've not done much with it.

Steam also offers an uncompressed screenshot to be stored which would help the quality potentially without rubbish jpg compression.

But really... Why do you want/need high resolution screenshots?

The uncompressed screenshots do not work with CSGO.

The theme looks amazing judging from the two pictures. :)

Right, I was just wondering because it can be helpful to have enough pixels to crop an image without losing its sharpness, but it isn't necessary. might look into dsr
