TomWithTheWeather Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 So I have this polarizing filter that I never really knew how to use until today. I went to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano and holy crap it worked nicely. These are stock pics. Nothing was done but cropping and resizing. All were shot around ISO200. Quote
DaanO Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 What's it do? I don't see anything special really to be honest. But this one is amazing: http://tomwiththeweather.beyondunreal.c ... rail03.jpg Quote
TomWithTheWeather Posted April 3, 2005 Author Report Posted April 3, 2005 It's mainly a color thing. Notice how the greens and blues stand out. If I had taken pics without the filter on the difference would be way more visible. Quote
ginsengavenger Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 mmm lovellly~ yeah a polarizing filter works like polarized glasses--the idea is that it cuts out a lot of ambient atmospheric interference so you're getting "more" of your subject. i want one Quote
Taylor Swift Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Looks great, yes honestly. The butterfly is beautiful too. Quote
DD Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 These shots look amazing. Love the contrast between the sky, plants, and leaves. Quote
