FrieChamp Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 if you want an internship you should apply to a company in your country... They wont go through the hassle of immigration for an internship. ...they might do, but whether your visa applications will pass or be denied is a different story. no, they wont cause the hiring process costs them a shitload of money, as does the visa application itself and the relocation... and HR won't use their resources for bringing people into the country for a 3 months internship or the like, they are busy enough hiring full time people... Ubi Soft isn't the only games company there is klein, Crytek hires people from different countries for internships. Quote

DvS Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Only real game company in Iceland is CCCP, maker of EVE: Online. I did some QA for them, but I guess I'll have to mod my way into a job. Quote
DaanO Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Iceland has a game developer? That's awesome. I've been wanting to move to Iceland for a while now (even learning the fkn language) and i didn't know about any game dev. Do you have a website? Quote
Zacker Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Congrats with your new job Zaphod! The situation thankfully don't look too bad here in DK. With IO, Media Mobsters, Kongo and others it's cool enough. They just _have_ to recruit people when I am done with my education in 1½ year:D CCCP, is that like "Coalition of Communist Crusaders for the Proletariat"? Quote
Minos Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 The most decent game ever made in Brazil was the crappy Deer Hunter. Anyways, have fun in your new job zappy~ Quote
