Mazy Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Quite liking the look of this, hope there's some real depth to the combat (the idea with the right stick sounds interesting at least) Zezeri, Sprony and Dark 3 Quote
El Moroes Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 It's interesting and attractive. I also hope we'll have nice combats and actions. Wait & see. Quote

Sprony Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 It sure looks promising but it's Ubi, so I'm not holding my breath gameplay wise. Quote
Em' Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Looks promising, but god, why the fuck the UI is taking half the screen... I hate huge UI, this is dumb to show in extra size so little informations as kill count and remaining buddies, wasn't a way to do a minimalistic UI instead of this ? Hope this come before Bannerlords, so i'll try this out and then switch to a real manly game Quote
Sprony Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 Do we have someone working on this? Quote
grapen Posted February 11, 2017 Report Posted February 11, 2017 Been playing the open beta this weekend, I think it's great. The learning curve is steep, I've been wrecking players but I can't beat level 3 bots. Matches are fast and that's a blessing considering my life situation. Will be picking it up on tuesday. Quote
WD Posted February 11, 2017 Report Posted February 11, 2017 For me the game felt laggy, unresponsive and for that it was frustrating to play. The controls suit better for controller/consoles. Didn't stay on my harddrive for long. For some reason both this and Rainbow six siege are both suffering from the same problems.. I guess its just their Anvil engine and their neglect for inputs vs. rendering time. Quote

Parrying requires split second reactions and I'm not having any input issues at all. High end PC with fiber. Edited February 11, 2017 by grapen Quote
WD Posted February 11, 2017 Report Posted February 11, 2017 @grapen This was in networked play. The tutorial and the first duel play with a bot was working fine. Quote

Ah I see. The problem here is that Ubi went with P2P networking. If the host sits on dogshit gear, everyone suffers. Quote
grapen Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 I'm on uplay as grap3n if anyone wants to brawl it out or play dominion. The environment art is so good in this game, very inspiring. Quote
Pampers Posted February 21, 2017 Report Posted February 21, 2017 The game looks gorgeous, really cool character designs, but online p2p? Fnugz 1 Quote

The main issue here is security. Drop hacks are apparently already a thing, though I've yet to encounter one personally. Unlike what they say in the video, there is no single host, instead everyone is the host, so there's no host advantage. That's why you sometimes get "configuring session" when someone ragequits. I've had no issues with latency whatsoever thus far (then again i have glorious swedish fiber), but I'd prefer dedicated servers for sure. Edit: turns out I was just lucky the first few hours. Their P2P architecture is garbage. Edited February 24, 2017 by grapen Quote
grapen Posted February 24, 2017 Report Posted February 24, 2017 (edited) If anyone's on the fence on this: do not buy. The game is getting progressively worse, the community is incredibly toxic and the unfinished state of the game is just getting more evident by the day. I'd pick it up on a steam sale at 75% off a year from now, as long as it's been patched up good by then. Edited February 25, 2017 by grapen FrieChamp 1 Quote
