In spite of the real silly mistakes (holding the gun backwards, dear god how) I find the facial animations kind of adorable when they really try to make them work, although it does completely destroy all of the more serious scenes between characters.

I don't know, I kind of want to buy this game more now.

I think they've put more work in to improve the rendering quality from BF4's Frostbite... but it's really hard to tell. Especially for an area you'd expect a Bioware game to get the most attention, people. Skin lighting, especially for the darker skinned characters, looks pretty bad in that video.

It's too fucking big lol, I am for the first time a bit interested in the franchise but who has the time to play something like this when Batman AK took me 70h tofibish the main quest (and playing some challenges).

Anyway in a news video they were saying there are 1200 talking characters, more than… I think ME 2&3 combined.

Watched some of the Giant Bomb stream and it really gave off the impression that this is done by Biowares B-team and just feels uninspired and under cooked. Even the main guy seems like a boring boyscout compared to Shepard. Writing was cringy and the faces ofc terrible but even the environments looked bland and by-the-numbers. Conceptually i like that they are going more open world with this franchise but it doesnt feel like Bioware/EA committed to this project the way the IP deserves. Im curious about the reception of the actual game but I dont have high hopes..

I've never played Mass Effect or discussed it with anyone, so I have to ask. Based on that video, are humans in this universe not supposed to look like us due to evolution, or are the characters just made incredibly unattractive (subjective, sure)? Not critiquing, just finding it interesting.

The original mass effect is set in the year 2183, from what i gather, Andromeda is obviously in the future but not enough that it would change human physique.

I totally recommend you play ME1 and 2 tho, they're some of the best sci-fi I've ever seen.

Yeah I have the trilogy sitting in my library, it's just that with all the sick games coming out.. Zelda will probably take me a year to finish.
