[WiP] DE_KAR update: 06/21/2015 (Better Radar added, map modified and included a video description)

Mission Outline:

On the south border of Pakistan lies Karachi, one of the biggest city in the world. The terrorists have decided to launch an attack on its beach side military storage base to establish fear among the civilians by destroying the infrastructure, military vehicles and weapon cache.

The counter terrorist are called via air support to defend the base. 


INFO : Created by NaNoW, map is 80% complete. optimization and texturing is left.

This is a high paced map. Rotations can be fast for both ct and t, but only if proper skill is used and for new players it will offer fast action but for pro players alot of strategies can be applied.

Please do play, make meaningful suggestions and rate. This is my first proper map, I am continuously updating it and improving it. I am super excited I found this community, it is very difficult for me to find people to play my map.

You might want to upload screenshots from in-game and not from Hammer window.

Based on the screenshots alone the overall scale seems a bit of. This could be due to the, I assume, temp textures but it just doesn't feel right. Maybe it's better in game.

OK ..So I have rolled out another update....Solved the bomb site B lighting issue, Terrorist spawn lighting issue, grass glitch and improved general visibility. I have also tried out lining up smokes and flashes with different object they look nice (thank you for posting Fmpone talk at GDC alot of good tips in there), I will try to make a video about it, things look much better.

A major update incoming in a couple of hours...radar being updated soon and B site completely redone.. played some games on it with steam friends, they all loved it. I hope you all like it aswell

Before you do a playtest I would recommend working on the readability of that radar. Judging by your video it looks like one big area with two bombsites in it at the moment.

It's nice how you explain all your design intentions in the video by the way.

The video is old..the newer radar is much improved..and the design and aesthetics have been made better...new video is up aswell

 

btw you are the guy who made copper ...right?

Do you remember after the playtest, one guy who pointed out that the models were great, and if you moved the mid wall behind to make it harder for awper and to put a box on that ledge...it was me :D

Yeah, when I saw your name in the replay I remembered you said you were working on a map, too.
Good luck with it!

Also the new radar looks much better.
