Hello fellow Mapcorians, this is my "first" map, de_stranded. (Previously known as de_eco, heh)

I am heading towards a direction of some Russian place / corporation / facillity on an island with possible surroundings like water, forest and mountains.

Last Update: Version 4, 2015 June 2nd

Don't be afraid to use harsh words, I don't really mind aslong as the criticism is valid, with every version I'm making a lot of changes to the layout, so just keep shooting it at me.

Had a quick run around this today. Seems like you have some nice variation and verticality to the layout.

Bombsites A and B are good but they do feel quite similar in gameplay, size and routes. So maybe look at one of these sites and make it feel more unique. You could even detail them a bit and use them as a basis for the rest of your theme :).


I googled ecological facilities and couldn't find much to reference. Do you have one near you in Russia?

(+ I laughed at your picture crouched and smoking in version 1 of your screenshots lol - I assume it is you =D)

No it's not me hahah. I appreciate it, could you specify by what you mean Bombsite A and B being similar in gameplay? Is it the planting zone or just both areas in general? Thanks.


I don't know, I have never seen one either and it might very well be a fictional place, I was inspired by the "enviroment" theme, you know some green facillity with plants and such with other research being conducted there.

Both areas in general I meant :)

Some sort of recycling plant might be interesting as a facility theme, but those tend to be bigger than the map layout you have so far. Unless of course you took just a sector from it and the rest of the facility you can see on the horizon.

It's clean :) I liked how you used the truck in your bombsite btw, however you could try to shorten paths from T Spawn to bombsites, I do need to play a little bit more as CT to know if it would be a possibility timing - wise.

Also this angle may be too overpowered for one side, in my opinion.


But overall, it's a good start :)

      Two new asset releases!

      First up is Basalt. Sadly I can't release all of the assets as some of the nature stuff is from Megascans and can't be redistributed. Also only includes the assets I've made.


      Second one is assets I've made for Pitstop. A small release that includes some road and concrete trim textures, a bunch of sponsors and some skybox buildings that might be useful.


      As always, free for non-commercial use with attribution.
