blackdog Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Dunno you guys but I find a bit weird, just slight in the way when writing a post, having the media pop up straight away instead at parse timePS: I feel like YT videos had the button to go fullscreen before this? Edited May 28, 2015 by blackdog Quote
Thrik Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 I find it quite convenient, makes it easier to preview what the final post will look like (which is good because I did notice there's no formal preview feature). With that said, you still get the in-editor preview if you use 'Insert other media'.If it does annoy everyone it's probably an option I can experiment with when there's time. This is the kind of thing I expect the vendor will get a lot of feedback about so they might very well make it a per-user option, or a plugin will appear doing so. Quote
blackdog Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 I think it disrupts the "serial pasting" process, but maybe it's just me. Definitely is not a major thing.Another one: is it just for me or the (javascript) pagination doesn't work with back/forward? I was just at the last page of a topic, went to previous page, then hit backspace, page reloaded but was on the same page... hit backspace I was on the previous topic (i did jump from one to the other through the notification) Quote
laminutederire Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) It tells me I cannot upload more than 512Kb when I try to post a jpg which weights only 100Kb, after I tried to upload a file that was indeed too large. When I refresh the page it works, it seems there's a weird memory issue, don't know how important it can be so I'm better off reporting it just in case Edited May 29, 2015 by laminutederire Thrik 1 Quote
Thrik Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) It seemed to be set to 0.5MB of attachments per post, which wasn't intentional. I've now set it to the intended limits, which is 50MB per user for all attachments, and 5MB of attachments per post.Note that you've got an attachment manager here: http://www.mapcore.org/attachments/ Edited May 29, 2015 by Thrik laminutederire 1 Quote

blackdog Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) Found another bug in the pagination. The "share this post" link for the last two posts in a page doesn't work: if you middle click/copy-paste it, sends you to the subsequent page. Link itself seems correct, but when it's translated the system gets the page wrong. For eg: Puddy's post points to comment=395186, but when you open it in a new tab or copy paste, gets translated into this which sends to page 116 instead of 115. Same on page 114, sends you to #115 This problem then translate to quoted posts (which is actually the way I found it, I was trying to follow a quoted post and was redirected just to top of the page). jackophant Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 Is there really no way to fix the text editing?I haven't seen any edit options for a while now, and i've tried numerous hard refreshes.Does it accept BBCode if i run off any work out how to do that? Quote
Thrik Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 Sorry I don't follow, what aren't you seeing? Can you screenshot it?BBCode should still be accepted and converted to formatting upon submission. Quote
jackophant Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) This is all I see, there are no options to change font family / colour / size, or code view.I can't think of anything else missing. Edited June 5, 2015 by jackophant Quote
Vaya Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 - firefox 38.0.5would like a 'clear formatting' button Quote
jackophant Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) nop, still doesn't work:My previous screenshot was from Chrome Version 43.0.2357.81 m Edited June 5, 2015 by jackophant Quote
Thrik Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 Oh, you're seeing the tablet version of the editor @jackophant. When the page loads, the editor buttons available is determined by the screen size (i.e. mobile, tablet, desktop). This is so that the buttons actually fit, although it does look like there is a bit more room available on tablet sizes. If you were to make your browser window wider and refresh it'd most likely show them all, but I can probably fit the buttons in so I'll do that. There is no longer a code view though, BBCode is just entered directly into the regular editor.@Vaya the button to the right of bold/italic/underline/strike clears formatting. Quote
jackophant Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 ffs, fucking responsive... fuck! im such a derp :\well... even though it went to tablet mode (what's the breakpoint set at?) internet explorer wins as it still worked!I can't even complain, my recent website uses very similar breakpoints, but I guess it didn't have this sort of functionality to reorganise. Thrik Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 I've updated the configuration of buttons for all screen sizes now. It's no longer possible to fit any more on without some proper messing around, so BBCode will be needed for additional functionality. To fit the font formatting onto tablet-size, I've had to take away the (very rarely used) alignment options. jackophant 1 Quote
