Tensei
Hello, my friends! I have been making this map for quite a while, because i got job, so i don't have much time, but i decided to post this map for some feedbacks. Anyways "oldtown" is just an temporary map name till i think of new unique one. I don't have much to say. Brushwork style has been taken from inferno and italy and has been reworked for my needs. I am going to change light_environment in time till i find the one that fits best. Ofcourse i am going to detail the buildings as much as i can in time too, but at first i want to make it ready for testing. I haven't made second bombsite yet and there is lots of not closed space. Link to workshop http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=434756741 Updates ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 06.05.2015 --- I am reworking brushwork style/theme to look somewhat older and more unique. I have added some new buildings which are looking way more older than the previous ones. Workshop has been updated ! ---> http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=434756741 08.05.2015--- I have added some new buildings for second bombsite and started to rework some buildings around the map. Workshop map has not been updated ! Here are some screenshots: Edited May 8, 2015 by Tensei
Bodd Jonar
To be honest, the inferno theme is boring, and has been used soooo many times now. If you have a set layout, I suggest that you change the style to something else.

Heh, for me to change it to another theme, i would need to rebuild everything But once for all, i want to finish atleast 1 map

You can easily change the theme to something more old town ish. Like run down, with lots of rubble and stuff. Don't worry, do not doubt yourself, anything is possible if you believe *magical glow*

Muffin
That looks great... I think it would make a great alternate theme.
Tensei
That looks great... I think it would make a great alternate theme. It has similarities with mirage, but it is quite different. Muffin
I see no correlation with mirage. With the wood beams and cracks and rustic feel, this is going to be very nice and unique.
Bodd Jonar
I see no correlation with mirage. With the wood beams and cracks and rustic feel, this is going to be very nice and unique. It uses the main brick texture from Mirage, coupled with the wood texture to hold it together, which is also from mirage, it also uses planks that stick out, just like on mirage (and dust 2 @long) but with a different texture, and the windows are also used on mirage among other maps, if I am not mistaken. I'm not saying that he should not do it, but to say that it has no correlation with Mirage, well, that is a bit of a stretch in my eyes. I guess, if i want to make it unique, i have got to spend lots of time making my own textures and same goes for models Well, Im still experimenting there. I still think you should carry on with it, you use the mirage textures, but in a new way.
