Classic/old maps waiting for revamp in CS:GO

Hi guys! I made a list of some old/classic Counter-Strike maps which are waiting for proper revamp in CS:GO. I hope this list will provide at least a little inspiration for you. Note, that layouts are usually bad and need some improvements. (Maybe I overlooked some maps in workshop that've been already revamped - tell me please. I am talking about revamps, not about some low-quality portions)

Good list, good memories!

 

There's a community map I used to love in Source but I don't remember what it's called. It's set in a power-plant IIRC and T's start inside in a sort of garage area, whilst CT start outside in a courtyard at the far end of mid. One of the bombsites (let's call it A) is inside near two large green generators, and the other (B) is outside with a catwalk around the top leading to a squeaky door above a larger, open entrance for the T's to rush through. Bombsite B also has a sewer entrance using a ladder and the sewer leads back to a squeaky double door in to bombsite A. The interior lobby area near bombsite B had some of those rotating billboards (made up of triangular brushes that rotate to display a different image), and I believe one of the posers was for CEVO or some-such organization.

 

Anybody know what the hell I'm babbling about?

Problem with with these CEVO/CPL etc maps is there's no chance they'll ever get into an operation

I always loved Chateau and hoping to see an official port (community ok as long as Valve promotes it to official).

The list is missing Piranesi, which I know was never much loved, but I always had great fun playing.

I really liked storm, it was a fun map even if it wasn't very popular. Also I miss de_survivor. It was a cool map but it would probably be very bad for competitive play.

Thanks for the heads up Moroes… I would like to see official stuff tho, otherwise it's just too difficult to find players. (Not that I can play atm anyway -- rubbish connection.)

I remember Prodigy, we got hammered hard when playing CW, but had good fun times looking forward for your remake

Some players won't play anything other than dust II or maps like that, until pros play on something else too, so we know what needs to be done !

The pros wouldn't play other maps even if we made more, simply because the map pool would be too big.

It is not really a remake, but it is a port from counter-strike:source
