Pericolos0 Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 if this works out the way its described ;o!! i'm curious http://www.gamespy.com/articles/595/595 ... ?fromint=1 Quote
Minos Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 Yeah, I was thinking about something similar to that the other day. It works sorta like the matrix or an AI, you give the basic instructions and it starts to "evolve" things. I think I read a theory based on the matrix film, thats like wright's idea, someone would create just a small piece of code and it would grow and grow at random untill it becomes a whole universe. It's like your life, your future depends on random events that happened in the past. Its crazy and shit but I think it will work. The problem is that games will become more and more souless than they are now. Quote

JynxDaddy Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 Interesting, But I still prefer games to be works of art, and I'm no artist ;O@... yeh thats my reply. take that Quote
FrieChamp Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 Very cool concept, I'm curious how "it will evolve" Quote
Schmung Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 I don't think it means an end to traditional content creation for games or signals a new wave of making games like this. It does sound like a unique and interesting game though, can't wait to see/hear more about it. Quote
Mazy Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Im really excited about it, but also some what sceptical, since the concept does sound somewhat loose. But Will Wright knows his stuff, so Im sure it will be good stuff Quote
RD Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 instead of spending years on creating art, they spent years on creating mathemathics. Interesting game tho, but ofcourse its not gonna change the way games r made Quote
