The only superb thing of the whole Quake series is quake2 multiplayer

If ID can recreate quake2 multiplayer on the doom3 engine I personally won't give a damn about the single player, I'll go out and buy it just for the dm.

Quake 2 multiplayer is very popular actually, I noticed that most if not all Capture The Flag servers were full, DM is only a few players behind, plenty of people still love the Quake games.
