blackdog Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Playing this really made me wanna pick up The Wolf Among Us Wolf Among Us is amazing, I played only the first free chapter, but I was really impressed. Got the full season on Steam Sale, just waiting to buy a gamepad to play that and other action games. Quote
Deathy Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 Has anybody picked this up since then?I've started playing the day before yesterday or so to get into the story for EP5 on Oct 20th.I managed to break the game twice, but other than that I cannot really point a negative point from my playing experience. If you're feeling 'this game is meh' after the first episode, please give this a chance and check out the second at least, as the pace is getting faster. Just think of cliché plotting out differently than you thought it will. Or one of those book series where you stumbled with the first book and got hooked afterwards. And choices actually do matter throughout the episodes, although you are clearly following a relatively linear storyline. Warm recommendation! Quote
Czoolz Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Just finished playing through all of the episodes over this past week. Really enjoyed this game! It's nice to play this game and just relax. I'm so used to playing stressful competitive style games, this is a nice change of pace. I was constantly thinking about how the game would end/wrap up over and over again. But was rather surprised that only a few of my theories actually came true. For 20 american dollars I can't complain.Oh and I've been listening to several of the songs from this game for the past week. Really enjoyed the music too! Quote
-HP- Posted May 19, 2017 Report Posted May 19, 2017 Sequel announced: http://lifeisstrange-blog.tumblr.com/post/160806279510/a-special-message-from-dontnod-entertainment 2d-chris, Radu and General Vivi 3 Quote
2d-chris Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 Actually really excited for that, enjoyed the first one, it's actually the only game of it's type I could enjoy, might of been the setting, was just cool. Oh and she was a photographer, that's probably a part of it General Vivi 1 Quote
General Vivi Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 Awesome! I really enjoyed this series quite a bit! Quote
Radu Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 After photo uni I can confirm all the niche situations/jokes in the game. It was amusing to play through, but the music was really the thing that sold it to me. Quote

blackdog Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) OT: does anyone know how PS Plus works? I'm just curious: Sony gives a percentage of the monthly income to the devs that agree to put the game for free? Edited June 8, 2017 by blackdog Quote

I wish I had the article to put here, but I remember reading that yes, for each download the dev gets a certain amount based on whatever they stipulated on the contract. It's a case by case thing, but I doubt it's full price though. It's sort of a win-win situation for all, the dev gets less money for each copy "sold" but they obviously sell alot, because free is free and a lot of people will download it just to check it out, and Sony keeps getting people to subscribe to PS+. Nothing is ever free of course, you already pay for these free games with your subscription. Edit: Quick google results:https://www.vg247.com/2013/10/03/sony-confirms-they-pay-devs-cash-to-include-their-games-in-ps/http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/191966/playstation_plus_good_for_.php blackdog 1 Quote
PaulH Posted June 15, 2017 Report Posted June 15, 2017 Just finished playing through the original episodes, really good! Could've easily continued playing, is one of those games where it seems a bit of a shame when it's over Quote
