I just want to point out that in less than 29h they have over 423 000 views, and look at the thumbs up/down ratio . . .
The point of it is that they already won ! The HOLE INTERNET is saying HATRED. We can say this game is bullshit, press can say that but the game will sell - It's not hard to sell a digital game even by your own.
What I know that they made a storm that shows us where is the line, the numbers of selled copies will tell us if we can actually cross that line - and again please don't tell me that we can/can't.

Regardless if it sells or not (which actually doesn't matter), I personally wouldn't be proud to "make it" based on the values depicted in the trailer. I'd rather sell 5k copies of a game that reflects my ethics than 100k+ based on sensationalism and...well...hatred.

And you are totally right, but selling this game will show us that yes you can sell smth that most of us will say that no one or very few will actually buy and play. What did they win ? Fame at this point it doesn't matter what kind of

This reminds me the game "Terrorist Attack" (not sure about the game, i've read this article long time ago), made by white suprematists where you have to kill dozen of black gang members, coming to their house and kill them, in the way this game show it.

 

Also, i'm not sure how relevant it is to stalk someone's profile on facebook and decide that what you see if what this person his. We all know a person who re-posted once a shitty article about migrants taking our jobs and others nationnalists stuff. But you can't judge someone only with this hint. I don't say this guy is an angel or a devil, i'm not here for judging him. Just to prevent some witch-hunt.

I'm an horrible person, I chuckled a couple of times.

I'd happily try it, but it's the kind of game you want to get only on PSN or Games with Gold. The kind of game I can play in 30 min bursts when I really don't know what else to play or can't devote more time to a more serious game.

The kind of game you forget very soon to have in the recesses of your hard drive.

And I agree with lots of the critiques, there's a responsibility when making games, it's not proven that games (or movies) make you a psycho… but there are people convinced about that*, why give them something to talk? Also it's bad to stereotype the goth-metal loner in the role, as it's already like that in the mind of bigots (remember that it's Marylin Manson's fault the Columbine shooting?). I dunno, make him look like a white collar from Wall Street… so in the end I just think this sort of product makes things more difficult for your colleagues.

Ps: I'm an hypocrite because then I get immensely pissed off if a game forces you to kill animals, if I had to make the choice, in Splinter Cell I'd stun the dog and kill the guard.

*sometimes I do question myself to think if games alienate some kids

it's a game, nothing more... I don't understand why this is different from GTA, where you can kill as many innocent people as you want without doing any mission..

Difference is that GTA is so much else. The rampages (which I take occasion to remember to everyone that were rewarded in earlier chapters) act as the release that gamers need after being on edge after a few missions. it's not the focus of the game
