If you're curious about the art from FullBlast game and want to see some more models and stuff; I posted many of the art that I've made for this project on this thread I hope you like it, crits and comments are welcome Edited September 11, 2014 by tucho Grinwhrl, ShockaPop and Em' 3 Quote
ShockaPop Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 Looks and seems to play bit like Raptor and Major Stryker (which I played A LOT as a kid), awesome! I've followed the Polycount's Low-Poly -thread and everytime I saw stuff of that FullBlast, I wanted more. One small thing I noticed in video, kind of like game-design thing: The projectiles of the enemies and player should be different colored always. It seems there are times when enemy shoots same colored projectiles and because those aren't different shaped, it can be confusing to player, especially when it's raining projectiles like in few scenes it did and player has to dodge those. tucho Posted September 18, 2014 Author Report Posted September 18, 2014 Thanks for your comments SotaPoika , most of enemies shoot blue bullets, but there are few ones which use orange ones like the player... I take note about your comment, maybe we could change it for a more reddish bullets or something. Another illustration and some more secreenshots. We are a couple of weeks away from the release, stay tunned!!! You also can follow FullBlast on Facebook and Twitter ⌐■_■ 1 Quote

PogoP Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Awesome! Reminds me a lot of Tyrian 2000 Quote
ShockaPop Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Downloaded the game and played the first level. Some feedback/nitpicking (not sure how often you read stuff here, but here goes): *I wanted to see some impact fx (like, when my bullet hits enemy ship). Just for some feedback and smoothing out the fact how the projectile just disappears. *The "Exit Game" button seems bit weird after done with the mission. Maybe it could be just "Back to Base" / "We're Done!" or something. *Music is cool, but it feels like it's not entirely made for the game. I don't know, it doesn't have that connection. *Sounds feel bit flat. I guess I kind of expected to hear some nice retro sci-fi "pew pew" sounds for weapons. *The game feels so smooth! Framerate is awesome. *Controls seem to be well done, simple stuff. Sometimes it feels bit difficult to notice suckerpunch coming fast from under my right hand. *I like how level isn't only just going forward, but going for this "spin" around some target for a while before moving on. *Visuals are overall really cool. I like the art a lot. Those are my first impressions. I played it on iPad Mini Retina, will be giving it a try on iPad Mini and iPhone 5s at some point. Overall the game seems to be fun and I'm buying it for sure! Quote
Minos Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 I remember seeing this on polycount ages ago, looks awesome! Quote
tucho Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 Thanks for your kind comments guys Awesome! Reminds me a lot of Tyrian 2000 That's not a coincedence, Tyrian was one of my references when I started to work on the art direction of FullBlast @SotaPoika: Thank you for your detailed feedback The "Exit Game" button seems bit weird after done with the mission. Maybe it could be just "Back to Base" / "We're Done!" or something. We love this idea, we will change "Exit Game" for "Back to Base" which is much more appropriate We received a lot of feedback from people who played the game and had a crazy days of work yesterday and today fixing bugs, hopefully we will upload a new version on Monday with a lot of fixes. Sjonsson Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 Took some time and played the game, all in alll I believe it has good potential. I think encountered a bug where level one in the demo just kept going and going and going. Looping the city with the beach, bridge and crossing highways. This occurred after I died once and pressed retry. Quote
tucho Posted December 16, 2014 Author Report Posted December 16, 2014 Thank you for the bug report Sjonsson. The bug that you're talking about should be fixed in the last version, Are you playing last version? if the issue persist please let us know Quote
