AtsEst
I don't know if there is much of a fandom for DW here, but I personally have not been as eager to see something as this for quite a long time now. ESToomere

Sentura
I don't get how people can watch this. I cringe every time I see it. The acting is bad, the dialogue is cheesy. The enemies and story is like written by a 5 year old (except a 5 year old can actually tell a better story). Minos and Em'
-HP-
Wat, I watched the trailer and was like, wtf!! I always thought this was another show with doctors walking around hospital corridors.
AtsEst
I don't get how people can watch this. I cringe every time I see it. The acting is bad, the dialogue is cheesy. The enemies and story is like written by a 5 year old (except a 5 year old can actually tell a better story). I was really skeptical of it myself but reversed the opinion by the end of the first (new) season. Dialogue is often cheesy, yes. But the acting has most of the time been at least decent for the main characters in my opinion. Yes, the big story arks can get confusing and convoluted, some of the plot devices can be cheats brought in 7 minutes before the episode wraps up, but there is some brilliant stuff in there and it is one of the most if not the most inventive, weird and charming shows out there (on imdb it is holding an 8.9 which says something, but the fan army really is strong with this one). Weeping angels for example are one of the best concepts for monsters If have seen as of late ("statues" they can only move if no one is looking at them, think Schroedinger's cat, not saying it hasn't been done). My inner child loves the show to bits and I'm all for it. If high production values are a must for you, then know that they went up quite a bit with the 5th series, after Moffat got a lot of funds from Sherlocks success, mainly the quality of cinematography and lighting. The cg and effects work still has a cheap taste to it at many times, but that has always been like that and I don't really mind. Just curious have you actually given it a proper chance(I'd presume yes from your comment)? ESToomere
ESToomere
imma let you drool all over 11 but 10 is still the best Doctor of all time, hopefully Capaldi will be less shit than Smith
Sentura
I tried watching a few different episodes - something I'm not going to do again. You listed a fair few reasons for why it's not worth to bother with it in the first place. The show takes itself too serious to make up for all the cheesy bullshit it puts forward.
