SuperDuperYeah Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) Epic is making some moves "Europe wise". Interesting... I'm guessing it's part of a big push to attract European developers ? Is Unreal Engine pretty popular across Europe ? http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/222601/Epic_Games_is_opening_a_studio_in_the_UK.php Edited August 5, 2014 by SuperDuperYeah Quote

PogoP Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Pretty sure it's just a support studio for the engine, and they won't be making games? If you look on their site, you'll see they aren't hiring any artists or designers etc. Quote
Thrik Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Seems like a great opportunity for programmers at least. Maybe with time they'll expand, who knows. Nice to see anything at all like this happening in the UK though... Quote

We're involved with the actual development of Unreal Engine, as well as a few Epic games. It's not support - you could see it more as working as part of an international team of developers. We do support as well, of course, but the bulk of our work is actual development. Doesn't look like they'll take on full game projects (yet) so I'll give you that Quote
