cr0coDiL Posted July 17, 2014 Report Posted July 17, 2014 Hello guys, after completion of my last project de_Mundian, i started on next. But now i look more on gameplay and too better details, theme. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Map overview: In midlle i little inspired by de_Cache because i made "middle entrance" to bombsite B. On map are 3 main chokepoints. One is squeky door on bombsite B, middle and Double doors room with walbangle walls inside. I can´t say more becuase this image don´t have any timing information so maybe later. My friends helped me a lot so i can today say: "Layout is finished but still open to any changes" For theme i select Inferno <3 and Cobblestone i.e. fortified village. I look on google and i find some images but i want make church in middle. I looked on google and i find "Villages with fortified churches in Transylvania". In my visions it will be village with parts of old fortification and with church in middle. Today i found nice image of fortification that i use in my project: Yesterday i maked first detailing things and today too: And this is the my result: >You are looking now on CT Spawn. I was inspired by this image: And why i posted it here ? I want to present you this map, and too i´m searching for some suggestions/ideas from you . Thanks or all your posts. NoahHasAnIDE Posted July 18, 2014 Report Posted July 18, 2014 Looks very nice. Hope to see this completed, and I highly recommend playtesting it on the MapCore server (if that's still around) before doing a lot of detailing, as it's easier to make adjustments (such as layout changes and cover placement) with simple dev textures than with a lot of props and small brushes. cr0coDiL Posted July 23, 2014 Author Report Posted July 23, 2014 (edited) Hello again. Today i want to show my changes and updates on my map. Thanks for feedback. About playtesting, i played match with friends. And I explore about strong CT sided orientation. Main factor for this is plant B which was notruhuble and impregnable. So next day i changed bombsite B: You can see changes here> I will playtest this version in some days so i be able to decide what must be changed. Next are changes on Bombsite A too. I added "Mirage" railing. And too i move one corridor straight too Bombiste A. So Ts are now no entering only from small gap in double doors. Detailing stage changed too. On CT spawn i added Underpass for CTs "storyline car" ,small house and I made first part of my villages fortifiing. Edited July 23, 2014 by cr0coDiL catfood, Nexusdog, El_Exodus and 1 other 4 Quote
NoahHasAnIDE Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 Looks really nice. Making a map CT sided isn't bad, just look at nuke, and it's praised as being competitively viable. Now that is for several reasons I need not get into, but regardless, I can't wait to play this map after it's release! Quote
El_Exodus Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 I'm impressed how you're able to do this level of detail at such an early stage of the map. Detailing is the part which knocks me down everytime i start Hammer. :/ Quote

Yes Nuke is but in my opinion that was very very CT sided I'm impressed how you're able to do this level of detail at such an early stage of the map. Detailing is the part which knocks me down everytime i start Hammer. :/ Thanks too . I can´t say about me that i am clone of FMPONE because are X of better map makers. But i play it like game. I few times walked around de_Inferno and i noticed by architecture. Too i am using images. They can everytime inspire me. It should be patient . Look at filmmakers. Some effects need stop motion (frame by frame) edit. And someone do it and he is happy at it ... Quote

cr0coDiL Posted July 25, 2014 Author Report Posted July 25, 2014 Hi guys again . Tomorrow I'm going on holiday so I'll be taking a break from hammer exactly 9 days. And now i want to show you how my work moved after last post. I builded first fortifying walls. I have small "dilemma" because i want make realistic looking castle walls which don´t break my gameplay layout. So I try something and after few repairs i maked this. I like it. And you ?: Nothing special more for today. So post your ideas or suggestions what i can make better . And thanks for all last posts. El_Exodus, Nexusdog and KERQ 3 Quote
ashton93 Posted July 25, 2014 Report Posted July 25, 2014 The castle part of the map looks really great so far, I especially like those firing-positions on the castle walls I cant really find anything I would change at the moment, perhaps experiment a little bit with the top wooden part of the towers? I'd experiment with the width and height, even see if it looks better without them and instead make those stone trims go all the way up to the top. If you decide to do that I'd suggest narrowing the size of the roofs too though Quote
KERQ Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Wish I knew how to detail a map like you! Really nice work so far Quote
cr0coDiL Posted August 15, 2014 Author Report Posted August 15, 2014 Hi again after litlle long time. I'd experiment with the width and height, even see if it looks better without them and instead make those stone trims go all the way up to the top. If you decide to do that I'd suggest narrowing the size of the roofs too though Yep, i saw on image that those wooden parts has interior parts. So yes i will maybe remake towers in future . Wish I knew how to detail a map like you! Really nice work so far Thanks After the holiday, I had a minor break because I had a smaller "block" . So after week I am back. And this are my creations ! I maked small house with yard and with "wheel swing" In other corner i maked too house but now stylized to Inferno plant B house.
