Beck Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 I guess it's worth making a thread for this. They've just showed off the coop mode for this game and it looks like it could be a good laugh with some friends. Games pretty too! -HP- 1 Quote
-HP- Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Absolutely, we talked about this in the e3 thread. Shame it's Xbone exclusive, but with all these rumours around that M$ might drop the kinekt soon, I might pick it up when that happens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjHfF7hdLNk Quote
Beck Posted July 2, 2014 Author Report Posted July 2, 2014 Shame it's Xbone exclusive Oh man That is a shame. I doubt I'll be getting an Xbox for at least a year or so, I feel this game would do well on the PC scene! Imagine the levels people would create with a level editor and steam works! Quote
Jake Gilla Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Is it not coming to PC as well? Seemed like every game with the word "exclusive" in front of it this year is also coming to PC Quote
-HP- Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Nah, it's xbone exclusive. Funny how insomniac came from being a Playstation exclusive studio, to a Xbone studio. Quote
Sjonsson Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Now that you say it HP, that is kind of suprising. I wonder why they changed, anyone knows? Quote

Shame it's Xbone exclusive, but with all these rumours around that M$ might drop the kinekt soon, I might pick it up when that happens. You are aware that they've announced and released a cheaper Xbox One SKU without the Kinect, right? Did that nearly a month ago now. But yeah, with this and Forza Horizon 2 then I'm fairly certain that I'll end up getting an Xbox One in the later part of the year. So far I'd actually say that their released first party titles are much stronger than what Sony's been able to dish out. Quote

Also not claiming that Sony's line up is strong but there's a lot coming and so far, for me at least, nothing that's announced for the 180 interested me. Maybe I missed something. Quote

I'd say of good first party titles, PS4 has Infamous and Resogun. With Xbox One, though granted I haven't played these extensively since I don't own the console, then theres Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall (though that's not really a first party title as such, PC and that). For the rest of 2014 on PS4 then there's....Drive Club? Maybe? On Xbox One there's Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, plus I could be persuaded into getting the Remastered Halo pack and play Halo 2 again. None of those are exactly system sellers, but if you judge the lineups solely on first party, then I'd say the Xbox One stands stronger for 2014. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that the PS4 is the more worthwhile platform to have for first party titles further in the future, but right now they're pushing everything into 2015 and beyond. And besides, right now I'm really happy that I got the PS4 first, since the best stuff has been 3rd party, which always runs and looks better on PS4. Quote

Oh shit, you're right. 100$ cheaper, cool! http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One/dp/B00KAI3KW2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1404403998&sr=8-2&keywords=xbox+one Quote

Since driving isn't my thing, unless I can run people over or blow my opponents up, and I'm pretty much done with the zombie hype, I'm not missing out. So yeah, I'm with you regarding everything else. Halo is flirting with me as well, but if I'm honest, I bought the Anniversary edition for the first one and probably played it like 2 hours or so. That's not enough for me to justify buying the console. No, the system seller for me has to be announced yet. I think the only major first party release that's coming up for the PS4 is The Last of Us and that's a port (a good one, but a port still). Quote
Mazy Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Finished it earlier today and I've been playing it somewhat intensely over the weekend, really awesome game. The humour falls somewhat flat for me most of the time, but I do like it's campy and wacky style, and besides it just serves to make the things you do while playing it feel strangely natural. It really starts out slow, but after a few hours (and some crucial movement unlocks) then it becomes absolutely amazing to traverse through the city, chaining grinds, bounces and wall runs all over the player (all while shooting bad guys at the same time). It really feels like the perfect blend of Crackdown and Jet Set Radio, in that it controls way smoother and better than either of those. It also just looks absolutely gorgeous, it's so great to play something that isn't afraid to be incredibly colourful, especially after playing Alien and SoM prior to this. Anyway, starting to feel really happy that I bought an Xbox One about a month back, this is probably my favourite game this year after Shadow of Mordor. Quote
blackdog Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Nah, it's xbone exclusive. Funny how insomniac came from being a Playstation exclusive studio, to a Xbone studio. Worked the other way around as well, smaller/indie in particular but I think some bigger as as well(?) Quote
Nysuatro Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 i might pick this up soon. I got a free XboxOne, so I better make use of it. Quote
