Evert Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 The only thing that matters with lighting is how it looks. Not what it actually is or that its because of the sky or whatever. Ppl look at maps, they dont think them Yeah, I know. I would never do a thread about the map since it was so early. What I meant with the sky thing was that it, thanks to the contrast, makes the map look darker in those screens, and I never changed it to a more fitting sky. Anyway, I'm with you, just acting a bit pathetic over it Nice work Crackerjack, only that the lamp should give off more light. Quote

I have to say that is some of the best work I have ever seen, my only fear is that it is using a new game engine that we won't be seeing for awhile. Keep us posted on that one, it looks promising since you got your textures looking perfect and your brushwork is incredible. And that skybox, come on now, that skybox is freakin art. Euro*Brew Quote

D3adlode Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 It uses an early beta of the Source 2.0 engine and the textures were created using photographs from Iraq. Unfortunately you need an Athlon 20ghz and 8gb of ram to run it at the moment, I'm working on increasing the frame rates... Quote
