AyzOn Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) Call of Titans: Halo Crysis Looks like the standard bang bang cutscene experience.^^ Edited May 2, 2014 by AyzOn marks 1 Quote
cincinnati Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 kevin spacey must be feeling the pinch from taking a break from movies to run a theatre company? this is a long, disappointing way off from glengarry glen ross, american beauty and the usual suspects. Quote
Thrik Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 lol. We're going to see a lot more of this, games are becoming bigger by the year and they can now handle actor performances better than ever before. He's meant to be amazing in House of Cards, I suspect he's doing OK for himself. Quote
dux Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) I would actually play this. Yes you heard me right, I would actually play a CoD game. Because Kevin fucking Spacey. Ok ok I was smacking down the snoop dog stuff but this is waaaay more cool. Kevin Spacey. K E V I N S P A C E Y I don't think this is a "desperate for work" thing at all. Games are a serious thing now and it's really nice to see big name actors coming into games more even if it is CoD. This just takes me back to the C&C cutscene era. Those were cheesy on purpose, but this was pretty good! Edited May 2, 2014 by dux Nysuatro, selmitto, Izuno and 1 other 4 Quote
Izuno Posted May 2, 2014 Author Report Posted May 2, 2014 Call of Duty: Cynical Premise Based Warfare Still...I liked that trailer. I think I can only get into this if the campaign is good, even if standard 5 to 6 hours. The last CoD campaign I really loved was Black Ops...the ones since not as much. Yeah, I feel that franchise fatigue as Mazy was saying but as always I will try to judge this CoD game on its own merits which leaves me, as always, cautiously hopeful. Quote
-HP- Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 Here's a youtube mirror I haven't wanted to play a CoD game since MW2. But I'm actually somewhat interested in this, the action sequences in the trailer show a load of cool gadgets, and if you get to use those in even slightly free-form game-play scenarios I'd probably pick this up. I'm also a huge fan of the near future setting. Oh wow, have you guys seen House of Cards? If you have, you're either gonna love this trailer or hate it for what it's trying to do. xD Looks good tho, very sci-fi which I like. Quote
Mazy Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 TBH then I think the chance of me getting this depends very much on how the Q3-Q4 release schedule ends up looking this year It will be interesting to see if Sledgehammer Games can bring something new to the table, at least in terms of SP (always seemed like they were very SP focused) Quote
dux Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 Also another thing to add is that Kevin Spacey was hugely in favour of Netflix, he did a big talk about it, I think it got linked on here a while ago actually. So for him to end up doing a game like this just seems like the logical next step. Quote
cincinnati Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 i wasn't saying he was desperate for work, but suggesting that he's going for the easier cashflow of showing up for one or two days for commercial and voicework. also, i agree it's high quality voicework. i just miss his talents on the feature film end of things. blackdog Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) Impressive trailer, undeniably! My first thought was "Crysis" as well, it's unfortunate that thanks to their brand image they're gonna get the mp follow for the same kind of gameplay. Graphics are improved, but you can see the gap there is to other top dogs, but it seems it can make it up with over-the-top action. Genuinely interested to try it since first MW. Impressive performance from Kevin, but also feels cheap and overused, I would have preferred/liked someone else that would make it feel fresher, instead of a copy/paste from a TV show. Castle Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) Its missing Dolph Lundgren. They need to add more Dolph Lundgren. Edited May 3, 2014 by Castle Quote
ics Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) As soon as i heard this is coming, someone already pasted a link: Edited May 4, 2014 by SpronyvanJohnson Edited so the picture is shown in all it's awesomeness! D3ads, Sprony, Castle and 9 others 12 Quote
blackdog Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) I shared the trailer on fb and tagged a friend that got fanatic of Spacey after House Of Cards, and she said: "i don't want to watch this movie".And here we are talking about shitty/stunning some videogame looks, when to a person from the street this can be mistaken for live footage(?).(Actually writing this reminded me when I was watching the intro of Doom 3 and my mother entered the room and said "these things really start to look like movies!") ShockaPop Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 I dunno.. is it good thing that some people would buy this only for the sake Kevin Spacey (and other celebrities Call of Doody franchise has been having)? It just sounds weird how games aren't selling by gameplay but by something else. Whatever, I'm gonna let this game pass anyway. Also, ICS's image is spot-on. Quote
