Bodd Jonar Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 Got the highest grade in two courses in a row now and started going to the gym. My diet is working like a charm and my stomach feels better, but it will take weeks before I know for sure how my gut handles it. Soon I have caught up with school, so tired of being behind. But for the first time in months I feel like everything in life is moving forward, each day is a step forward. A mixed feeling of happy but also extremely stressed. jackophant, ChA1NsAw, leplubodeslapin and 3 others 6 Quote

Bodd Jonar Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) @Bodd Jonar i need to ditch some weigh, what diet you doing?Currently switched to paleo since I started working out. As long as I don't mix fast carbs and meat my stomach seems to handle it just fine. I'm not trying to lose weight, so I eat a lot of chicken with my sallad, and walnuts, fruits etc. I also "cheat" the diet by adding feta to my sallad, it just adds so much flavor. For my sallad today I will have cucumber, carrots, iceberg lettuce, chicken and feta, and after I usually eat a banana or an apple, and some walnuts. If you skip the walnuts you should be deficient in calories. Edited January 23, 2016 by Bodd Jonar Quote
leplubodeslapin Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Hello, hello, hello.Just wanted to keep you "up to date" about my internship, even if it isn't related to the game industry.Things have been fine since i've chosen the concepts for my drone design (which must be able to work on the ground, in the air and on water). I'm trying to adapt it for 3d printing, because we're going to buy one 3d printer and the mockup must be made with it (most of the parts). Si that's exciting, i hope it will be a great object in the end (with motors, captors, propeller, switchs, battery... Nice stuff :p).In terms of technical knowledge, they love my job, they are really glad to see this project finally moving forward like... A lot! So that's why they told me they wanted to hire me, and that 1 spot was open in the place i'm currently working at (a full time job i mean), but that there was already a colleague of mine trying to get the job. That annoyed me a lot because we're sort of friends. I asked the boss to speak with him during the week, i told him about the fact that i really like working here, about my future projects of trying to work on a videogame one day... And he told me they would hire both of us, that i'm hired to work as a mechanical engineer at the end of my internship and that he would like me to start a project with 3d or videogames involved, something they call "serious game". I don't really think i'll be ever able to work on a game here but that's an interesting idea Anyway, in any case i'm really glad to start my career here, as a mechanical design engineer first and then i'll see. laminutederire Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 @leplubodeslapin you'll end up doing games I'm sure of that!It is becoming a vector of work in so many unexpected ways...People are developing games to fight autism, research labs are creating games on their own to test social hypothesis, and so on, so I'm sure you'll find the right place to do both games and mechanical engineering , and since you'll deserve it you'll get it soon enough leplubodeslapin and Vaya 2 Quote

Bastion Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Or just, i dunno, stop playing it?But I'd likely just go back to it and waste more of my time on it. I wanted it out of my life entirely, so I made sure I could not access it at all. Vaya 1 Quote
Vaya Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 seems pretty extreme. I've not spent much time on Gmod. Really don't 'get' it. Quote
