Well I just broke up with my girlfriend.. We haven't been together for longer than a year, and we knew that if I got into the school in Canada starting in January that we wouldn't be doing the long distance thing anyway.

So right now, I'm currently finishing the school application and hoping that I get accepted. If not, then I have no plan, no money, no job and nobody to have sex with. Now that's a situation I'd rather not be in.

blackdog: Females suddenly get attracted to males when they realize that the males are moving towards a relationship with someone else. Happens every fucking time. And ignore your friend, he sounds like someone who thinks calling "dibs" after someone had their go works, it doesn't.

Sucks st0lve, but I don't understand... if it's starting in Jan why breaking up now?

~

Thanks for the advices guys, seems like my drama it's over.

I feel a bit bad because I was writing an articulated reply to the guy, then my girl-friend here suggested something a bit harsh but brief. That lead to a quick exchange and he's saying it's cool.

I'm sorry, I really am but I just don't get it. Honestly, why do you worry so much? Why do you let him get to you?

I guess because I've always been unlucky and had more than one unrequited love. I also feel pressure on my own for having her, don't need someone else's. And finally, before this, he has been a good company.

But definitely I'm not feeling guilty of anything.

Yeah I heard, think it might be pheromones? :B Cos she doesn't know I am seeing someone, unless my girl-friend spilled the beans, which doesn't appear to be so.

This is not good bro. Not good at all. Let's finish our pm conversation because you are really selling yourself short here. You are better then you think you are. Remember that ;)

So, got the first migraine I've had in 4 weeks. It was nice to have a pretty long break and I felt like this was gonna be a mild one. Unfortunately, it wasn't and after 3 hours or so I was struggling like a motherfucker not to vomit like crazy. I get extremely nautious but I learned from a doctor that you don't actually have any physiological need to vomit, it's just that your body can get nautious from intense pain itself.

I've been suffering from Migraines for years. Have you tried sumatriptan already? It did wonders for me. Everytime I feel like I might have a crisis I take a pill and it goes away in 30 minutes. My quality of life improved immensely after I started taking them since my previous medicine would only work 50% of the times and the side efects were pretty brutal. Sumatriptan works 90% of the time and I never feel any side-effects. (Damn, I sound like a spam bot)

Fun fact: I used to have maybe 3 to 6 crisis a month before I started using some green "migraine herbs" more regularly. These days I have maybe 1 crysis every 2 or 3 months. Definitely look into that if sumatriptan is not being enough, natural stuff usually works much better to prevent onsets, are cheaper and much safer :)

This time I tried sumatriptan for the first time! What delivery method do you use? Just a regular pill? My doctor adviced the nose spray or injection since, if I get nautious, my stomach won't digest the pill properly. Went for the nose spray this time. I can't say it had much effect, maybe I used it too late or was just unlucky. Or maybe the attack would've been way worse without it. Hmm.

How do you know when an attack is coming? I must be pretty bad at subtle cues because I only know when my vision becomes changed and by then I know 100% it's gonna happen (I lose my focus vision, so I can't read). I usually try to read the small print of a medicine package to double-check in case I'm unsure (if it's time... I can't see shit of what it says). This is maybe 30-45mins before the pain starts setting in (the pain creeps up on me slowly, becoming worse and worse).

What did those hippie pills contain? I've heard butterbur is used sometimes.

I don't know shit about shit but I'm strongly leaning towards GREEN MIGRAINE HERBS which are SMOKED AND INHALED, just reading your posts. Goddamn it sounds like that sucks, dude.

No! This can indeed stop it, lower it, make it less intense, etc but it comes back hell bent on revenge as soon as it wears off.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your new crisis :(

Each migraine is specific to each person so I can only talk about personal experience. I never checked if there's any scientific backing to this, but I read on a migraine book that migraine sufferers usually have more sensitive senses and are more easily disturbed by strong stimulus than others.

Since I've had so many crisis over the years I was able to notice similarities between them:

- If I'm showering in the morning and the shampoo or any other product's smell bothers me, there's a 100% chance that I will have a migraine that day.

- If I'm inexplicably stressed out/moody in the morning, there's a 50% chance.

- If I get hungry early in the afternoon (usually 3 hours after lunch) I need to eat immediately or I'll have a migraine at night.

- If my sleep schedule varies too much over too many days I usually have a crisis.

The way I deal with migraines is that every time I spot any of those signs and I'm 100% sure I'll have a crisis, I take a sumatriptan pill preventively. Once the migraine starts, the medicine takes a lot longer to work and even worse, sometimes one pill is not enough to control a full-blown crisis. Any doctor will tell you that it's better to take the medicine as early as you notice any signs than waiting too long and end up taking several pills when the pain doesn't go away. However, I should note that each person responds to specific medicines differently than others, so if sumaptriptan doesn't work for you definitely keep looking for another one!

Keep in mind that developing tolerance for these medicines is quite likely if you take them too frequently too. That happened to me 3 times in the past and it's a bitch because when that happens you have to look for something else. Fun fact: I later discovered that those medicines are so toxic that they have been banned in the US and Europe for the past 20 years and are only available in Latin America and Asia - thanks big pharma for the consideration :)

However, since I started following FMPONE's advice, migraine outbursts are pretty much a thing of the past. Back 3 years ago a sumatriptan box (with 9 pills) would last 2 months at most, usually less than that. Fast forward to today and I still have two pills from the box I got in early february - I also haven't had any outbursts during this time and I only took sumatriptan preventively on the days I noticed onset signs.

I only tried the GL8pM8b.gif natural medicine GL8pM8b.gif once during an actual crisis and it went away almost instantly surprisingly - however I must point out that it wasn't a bad crisis and the efficacy highly depends on the "medicinal value" of what you get as there are several different types for different uses - some won't do anything for migraines/pain for example. Definitely read about the different types if you are willing to try it, it literally takes 2 minutes on google to find out which type is best for migraine :)

I guess I have to be more observant of signs going forward and try to see the patterns. Right now, I have no clue how someone can get subtle, early cues. I'm like... what am I looking for?! lmao. I learned that, if I skip my heart medicine (forget or accidentally run out), I generally get a migraine that same day (so I always ensure I take my meds). My doctor has said that, in general, the more vanilla/predictable your life is (regular meals, good sleep, medicine, other habits etc) the less migraines you'll get.

You don't get any visual problems during an attack (blurred vision/jagged bright zigzags/lost peripheral vision)?

There is a financial crisis going on my uni. Many times this year staff workers have blocked the main entrance to prevent anyone from going in or out. Because this year is an even number (I made this out), in three ocasions my teacher of analytic geometry had to postpone an exam because the main gates were forcibly closed.

Bonus: I enrolled in a class of climatology for geography majors. But the whole department of geography is on strike! Plus, philosophy, social sciences, history and linguistics, including students, are all on strike too. I know the teacher because he is famous for denying global warming.

Cool, Climatology is a very interesting subject! Can tell that from own experience.

Regarding global warming or climate change: He's wrong, it's true - and we can hardly stop it. :D
