I'm learning japanese. I expect to reach intermediate level by the end of my undergraduate course. I'm not interesting in studying in JApan, but... just in case I ever need it.

Cool, I've been learning a little bit over the years but in the last 3 months I decided to go to a group class and have a weekly private teacher.

Not sure if you are interested in learning to read but wanikani.com is what I use for learning kanji. The first few levels are free then it costs. I kind of went a weird direction with my learning I only practiced reading kanji mostly so now I have a relatively advanced vocabulary and terrible grammar. After my first learning assesment the teacher wasn't quite sure how good I was at Japanese :D

I guess this could also go in the „Do you enjoy your job in the games industry?“ thread or “MapCore Job Census” but I haven’t shared in this thread yet, so here’s what’s up: I quit my job on Friday.

I have been LD job hunting for the better part of a year now and it can be a bit taxing with all the work assignments and rejections stacking up so I decided to take a break and go ahead and study full-time at a university.

Not to completely derail this topic into Japanese 101 but that's funnily enough what I'm gonna study. :D

Two weeks ago, I move from Italy to Finland, for an Erasmus internship as graphic / video designer for a company about developing an app for smartphone, that can make a video of your house and convert this data in an complete top view floor plan.

I'm in the city of Oulu : the capital of norther Scandinavia. Is September but seems already winter for me. I will stay here for the next 6 months.

For me it's an opportunity for grown up, improve my skills and looking for new experiences. And yes, Finnish people play a lot of cs:go.

It's gonna get real cold and dark soon. Stay active and eat vitamins or you'll be miserable for the next 4 months when it's dark and you're freezing your balls off all the time. At least the snow is pretty once it stops melting and being slushy mess. Welcome!
