Thrik gave me the chance to write articles for the Core. When those didn't pick up, a minority of you demanded more. The new batch did significantly better and managed to gather quite a crowd outside of the Core as well. Doors opened and the response from this community was very encouraging. Because of these new possibilities I got the opportunity to interview very talented individuals which I will continue to do so in the future. 

 

My writing got better (I hope) and my confidence grew all due to the power of the Core. That's why I applied for a freelance job at the biggest game magazine (yes Dux, those still exist) of the Benelux. I just got the reply and I want to share two quotes:

 

"This is one of the best reviews we received" and "We also read your Call of Duty Effect article. It had good points and structure. These two combined show us great potential".

 

There's no job yet but reading this is already a huge compliment. All thanks to you guys. So in short:

Feeling the love guys, appreciated!

 

Would love to get hired but it's not really about that (It would be a part time thing). For me it means studio visits, press conferences and game shows (with a press card). Things I would love to do.

 

Nah, it's about the Core giving me the chance, the community helping me improve and being considered by a well respected magazine. This is praise enough for me :)
