I originally completed an orange map and it felt right and fun with bots but it got lost in an accidental purge. [...] Okay, reworked the layout. Thinking about calling it officeday again, have to check other names, meanwhile calling it potato. Very mirrored and symmetrical map, a lot of open space, couple of escape routes: gonna need A LOT of testing to get right and fun. It was small like yours and there was bumpers of the left and right sides for each team, that allows you to jump instantly to the other side. I even have screenshots xD Of course there are secret rooms, which allows you to do some crazy things like dropping huge crates all over the map and crush all the players below ahah xD It was very fun, feel free to inspire and get ideas from it. ESToomere Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 Your map seems to have the same issue that's (I think) new to CS with CS:GO: massive sniper alleys. I've actually worked a bit more on ar_maktab but I stopped because even bots would abuse the shit out of sniper rifles in regular modes and deathmatch. Or could it just be the issue of ar_ maps played outside the ar mode? Quote

It's way smaller than what you think, it's an instant gameplay : 2 seconds after your spawn you can get killed or kill people. Any awp player would be killed instantly, you don't have the time to aim in an alley. For example, the size of 1 player : ESToomere 1 Quote

Somehow you've managed to make it work in yours, all the middle designs for me disallow higher positions anywhere else but on the edges of the map, which in turn, causes camping. Vinneri Posted April 23, 2014 Report Posted April 23, 2014 This map made me rage so hard. Where ever you go, you get shot to the back. There is too many spots where enemy can be. You should make it more simple. Less open holes and straight lines. Is't not good at all atm. Winner is who has most luck, when running to enemylines. Map is still pretty good size. ESToomere 1 Quote
