AlexM Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 Am I the only one who thought this would be a game made in Unity? came here to post that Quote
will2k Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Looks very promising One thing that is a bit "disturbing" from the last video is that the main protagonist has a perfect English accent. Imho, this takes away from the character's "charm" and authenticity of being a Frenchman (as denoted in the wiki: The main character of the game is Arno Dorian, a native Frenchman who was born in Versailles.) I believe he should be given a slight accent just as they did with Ezio's English/Italian accent Looking forward to the game Quote
Minos Posted July 22, 2014 Report Posted July 22, 2014 Damn, some awesome tools in there Game looks awesome! Quote
Em' Posted July 22, 2014 Report Posted July 22, 2014 Really good insight ! I'm hyped by this, coop will probably get me into an AC finally. I visited Ubi Annecy last year (they work on AC mps) and they had the exact same speech about AC DNA and core pillars : combat, stuns and assasinate ! ;p Quote

blackdog Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 Apparently they are locking the game at 900p-30fps on both consoles "to avoid discussions and flames" http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/assassins_creed_unity/news/assassins_creed_unity_is_900p_30fps_on_both_ps4_and_xbox_one.html They are also saying that the true problem is being CPU bound so what's being limited is the AI. blackdog Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Reading critiques in other forums I am wondering if being CPU bound like they are saying affects the graphics department. The way it's explained sounds very distinct matter. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 from what I know, and my knowledge is limited. Being CPU bound shouldn't affect the resolution too much. if it runs at 30 fps because it's CPU bound, it will run a 30 fps now matter what res. Upping the res will of course eventually make the framerate GPU bound again, dropping it even below 30. Still, sad they have to drop to 900p to stay at 30 fps. The game looks good, but it doesn't look so good that it warrants dropping the resolution, imo. -HP- 1 Quote

I'll probably crack it in some months. I don't like to be treated like a milk cow. Quote
