AlexM Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 Hey everybody I finally released my first commercial game on the playstation vita and other playstation mobile devices. I developed it with my girlfriend who did the art and sister who did the music. I wrote the engine from scratch using openGL and the playstation mobile utility libraries (input, sound etc). The game took a little while longer to release because there was so much to learn that I just wasn't exposed to when I was on a team or working on small indie projects. Things like software compliance, changing sdk issues, business issues, international localization, accounting in multiple countries. These are things I didn't consider when getting into this. I'm really glad I learned this because I know a lot more about the business and production side of the games business now. It's always good to be able to emphasize with your peers. The game is an infinte runner. I wanted to do a simple concept to start since I was doing so many new things. The cat is based on my cat Noodles. The other black cat is based on my cat Bullet. We missed them when we were living in Japan so that's kind of how this game came about. Here's a pic of it instore Here's a video of some gameplay and if you want to buy it just log onto the PlayStation mobile store on your phone or vita Quote
