There are currently two openings available on the Eternal Crusade project: Senior Level Designer and Co-Operative PvE Level Designer. These are full-time salaried positions at Behaviour's Montreal office. Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is a next gen, third-person shooter MMO focused on large scale battles and territory control. Players will also be able to form small groups and tackle co-operative PvE challenges in procedurally generated dungeons beneath the planet's surface. It is currently scheduled for release at the end of 2015, and so the people filling these positions will be instrumental in defining and driving the vision of the game. SENIOR LEVEL DESIGNER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES• Communicate and work across teams to make all spaces playable and enjoyable• Focus on the gameplay elements of a space, rather than the visuals• Support the Lead Level Designer and the directors to establish the game’s vision for Level Design• Work smoothly in a multi-disciplinary strike team• Mentor more junior Level Designers to grow in their role• Create 3D levels with compelling multiplayer design and flow, across multiple categories of game play• Serve as the stakeholder for one of these categories of game play, reinforcing, documenting, and communicating design requirements within a feature-specific Strike Team• Understand and use the editor and tools• Work with the Programming team to help improve processes and pipelines • Work with the Game Design team to ensure that the spaces created support the highest quality in game play • Work with the Art team to ensure the visuals support the intended gameplay while maintaining the highest quality• Organize and participate in brainstorms to develop ideas or gather feedback on your work and the work of others• Collaborate and communicate with all departments to reinforce the vision of the game CO-OPERATIVE PVE LEVEL DESIGNER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES• Focus on the gameplay elements of a space, rather than the visuals• Support the Lead Level Designer, Game Designers, and the project Directors to implement the game’s vision for PvE content• Work smoothly as part of a multi-disciplinary strike team• Create 3D levels with compelling co-op multiplayer design and flow• Script bite-sized, modular chunks of content for procedural assembly • Serve as a champion for PvE level design, reinforcing and communicating design requirements within a feature-specific Strike Team• Understand and use the editor and tools• Work with the Game Design team to ensure that the spaces created support the highest quality in game play• Work with the Art team to ensure the visuals support the intended gameplay while maintaining the highest quality• Participate in playtests of your own work and the work of others, thoughtfully giving and receiving feedback If either of these positions appeal to you, don't hesitate to apply at the by following the links given!
