TheOnlyDoubleF Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 Is someone working at Black Tusk Studio ? What is Epic working on now ? http://www.gamrreview.com/news/91046/next-gears-of-war-game-still-in-planning/ Quote
blackdog Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 Epic has announced Fortnight that i can remember, dunno if there's an "unannounced project" or they are keeping it more quiet. Quote
SuperDuperYeah Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Sooooo... what did you guys think {Gears 4} ? Went to have lunch downtown Vancouver. Was pretty fun to hear dev conversation in the street about it. Quote
FrieChamp Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Environment looks good, but I'm not really fond of the creature design.https://gearsofwar.com/de-de/gears-of-war-4 Quote
Sprony Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 After part 3 I'm done with Gears. I watched this but it just doesn't excite me anymore. Maybe I'm turning into @dux! Quote
dux Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Let's demo a game where it is night so you can't see FUCK ALL Thrik, blackdog, Zezeri and 2 others 5 Quote
blackdog Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Darkness aside, graphics don't look so impressive, which for a flagship title is not very promising to start.I think Gears was incredibly fun, but I'm still bitter cos I was never able to finish the first one on PC, due to the fucking GFWL that lost my saves three times before my computer died. It's a shame because at least in MP I had a very good time, I was motivated to learn UE at the time to make some maps, but MS never nourished the game on Windows Quote
Sprony Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 This was a long but very interesting read about the remaster and the franchise in general. Highly recommended. Quote
blackdog Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) "It’s clear that this Vancouver-based studio is a key part of the Xbox platform — Gears of War’s heavy presence in Microsoft’s recent E3 press conference says as much"I wouldn't describe "heavy presence" when we only saw a (bad) gameplay section... I'll read the rest later. Edited August 13, 2015 by blackdog TheOnlyDoubleF 1 Quote
Sprony Posted August 18, 2016 Report Posted August 18, 2016 I played the game for about 20 minutes. It looks gorgeous, it plays very fluently and it's really a Gears game. But, that was also the problem. Because after about 5 minutes the novelty wears off and it feels like more of the same. This doesn't matter for new players but those that have been there since start, might find it repetitive pretty quickly. Quote
blackdog Posted August 18, 2016 Report Posted August 18, 2016 From what I've seen looks beautiful but the only-at-night setting think is boring. Also the new characters seem quite bland. I definitely feel like playing a game like Gears, I mean I need something violent and without need of brainpower; I would rather pick up the remasters since I never finished the first. Quote
Alf-Life Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 Did you play at GamesCom, Sprony? I'm hoping people will be pleasantly surprised by the game. Watching videos of someone play it's easy to be "yep, looks like Gears" but I'm hoping when people get their hands on it they remember just how fluid and fun Gears core gameplay is. Epic did a really amazing job and I think it's still best-in-class even now when I play other more contemporary 3rd Person Shooters. Quote
Vilham Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I still need to play some of the campaign, only played the multiplayer stuff so far. Its good stuff so far though. blackdog 1 Quote
blackdog Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I wish they would release the SDK like for the first one Quote

Like I said, it's pure Gears gameplay. Quote
