knj Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 So basicly, Jesse after rehab is trying to make some cash doing underground racing ! Quote
DrywallDreams Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Really hope this is meant to be a remake of the fmvs in NFS1. Then there could be a sequel where every car on the road is barrel rolling down a hill. -HP- 1 Quote
Beck Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 I hate how trailers always spoil shit these days. When they drove off the cliff and cut the video there I was kind of interested. Dudes got some balls and must be in a really bad situation to do that... I wonder what happened... Two seconds later they show me he's tied to a helicopter and all is well. What's the point?! /rant I doubt this will be that great xD knj 1 Quote
Puddy Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 This might be retarded enough to be fun. Might. Also, that chick is hot! Imogen Poots Quote
-HP- Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Yeap, what Beck said. hence why i quit watching trailers. Also, sorta OT but this latest Need for Speed game that came out for PS4 is really fucking great, and holy shit it looks so good. Quote
Puddy Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Rivals? Yep, it's pretty great actually. It's the only game I have for my PS4. -HP- 1 Quote
-HP- Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Yeah man, I picked it up at Blizzard's library like "meh, screw it i'll give it a shot" and now I'm hooked on the fucking thing. Sometimes I swear I feel the dust and water on my face, it's a really good "arcadie" experience I kinda missed in racing games. Quote
Mazy Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Kinda disappointed with Rivals, especially since I loved the two previous Criterion NFS games (Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit). Though I think having a jam-packed friend list playing it at the same time would probably improve it a lot, no-one on my PS4 friend list was playing it at launch ;_; Also having it capped at 6 players per session feels like it completely misses the target on public servers, it's a miracle if you stumble upon other players in this game unless you organise it. Also, I might be in the minority, but I'd much rather have it run at 60fps and looking less sharp, than high res but in 30fps. I'd honestly always take that trade with racing games. Anyway, on topic, movie looks pretty dumb, but I like Aaron Paul, might watch it some time. Quote

Anyway, on topic, movie looks pretty dumb, but I like Aaron Paul, might watch it some time. The fundamental problem with Rivals was that it wasn't particularly good at bringing players together. As you said, having 6 players in a session, scattered all over the map doesn't really cut it. That's the amount of players you want to participate in a single race event and that's nigh impossible with the current setup. So yeah, this is a huge flaw of the game. But as a relaxing, fun racing game that's solid in almost in every other respect, Rivals hits the mark. -HP- 1 Quote
blackdog Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 Seems dumb, "Jesse" doesn't seem natural at all. Garbage. Quote
