Merry christmas guys! I'm hoping you guys' have had a much better christmas than I did. Nothing really horrible, but still not the best way to celebrate :)

This years' christmas eve was spent at the hospital as my wifes fever got too high and the doctor at the emergency room registered a pulse at around 150. This gave off a lot of alarms as shes has a risk of developing a blood clot (shes done so before and it nearly killed her). As she's 26 weeks pregnant she is on blood thinners as a precaution, so a blood clot forming is highly unlikely but the doctor could not risk it so she was sent to the hospital 30 minutes drive away by ambulance since he wasn't equipped to do the necessary tests. I had to leave our son to the in laws to follow her by car, as we were at their place to celebreate christmas. He celebrated christmas eve with them and some of their extended family and had a great night.

She was eventually diagnosed with pneumonia, and they were certain of this at around midnight. Then they put her on penicillin and I went home for the night. 4 hours of sleep later my son woke up and we unwrapped some more presents together (that had been lying in my car the past night). He's only two, so it's probably better to spread out the presents anyway. He was super happy to receive so many presents two days in a row :D Then when it was nap time I left him with the in laws and drove to the hospital again. Her pulse was down to 120 and the fever had broke and she was feeling a lot better. She was then transferred to a hospital closer to our home so I packed up all our stuff and took our son home too. She might be released tomorrow.

So tired now :)
