Blue light from your screen might be harmful

That free app is meant to make your screen emit less blue light at night. It makes your screen warmer, red/orange tint over the normal blue glow hat you'd usually see.

Some studies suggest that the blue glow emitted from computer and cellphones screens can cause your brain to delay the sleep phase, which is harmful for your health.

I did notice that when it's sunset time, I feel a bit sleepy as the screen dims to a more orangeish / flameish tone.

yeah, I did use it for a few days a couple years ago. I can see how it's nice for people that just use the internet, deal with excel sheets or word or whatever.

Everytime I sit at the PC, i'm either doing art, playing games, editing photos, etc. So yeah, all things that flux pretty much ruin cos it tints everything orange.

Ohh thanks it's actually pretty cool, and guys there's an option on the software window you just have to check to go back to normal screen light if need to work; plus it gives you information on when the sun will come up if you are the proper nerd in a cave

We were talking about the blue light and its effect in the sleeping problems topic a few months ago.

I'm using Flux since a month or so now (posted on fb by friends) and i got used to it in couple of sessions of use and now i feel the need of it.

I have the impression that it's easier to catch a sleep going to bed immediately after shutting the computer off and in general i feel my eyes more rested (but i'm also not in front of the computer all day with this job i have).

The annoying thing is that the disable options is for an hour, if i'm watching a movie i'd prefear not to deactivate it again... but works as a reminder on how much time i'm spending on something.
