Sentura Posted November 29, 2013 Report Posted November 29, 2013 The Polygon PlayStation 4 Review and Xbox One Review involved an unprecedented level of coordination between the editorial and product teams at Vox Media. The goal was to create a pair of extremely high touch features to highlight the talents of our writers and video team, while pushing the envelope on longform design. There were a lot of lessons learned, but the final results speak for themselves. http://product.voxmedia.com/post/68085482982/polygon-feature-design-svg-animations-for-fun-and While not related to game design, it's a really nice breakdown of web design for a new age. I thought it was interesting, maybe there's a few of us who can use it. Thrik 1 Quote
blackdog Posted November 30, 2013 Report Posted November 30, 2013 Uh oh, good finding!I scrolled thorugh the One's review and really liked the design of the article. Some high-profile web-designers were blogging articles accompaigned by tailor made designs years ago... this was bound to get some traction. Quote

AlexM Posted November 30, 2013 Report Posted November 30, 2013 yeah for icons and stuff like that I can see SVG being the way to go. Quote
blackdog Posted November 30, 2013 Report Posted November 30, 2013 Yeah, MS already adopted it in Windows Phone/8 and it's the only smart choice, I still don't get why Apple and Google are working with bitmap icons that are such a pain to scale to all those sizes for the different instances they use it and now with hi-res displays.
