That would be pretty amazing, would be great they actually did something that wasn't an Aliens game. Then again, Frictional's new game looks like it could be a lot like that too.

Also, Ripley's daughter....really? Wasn't it heavily hinted towards in the movie at that she basically led a completely mundane and uneventful life? Whenever people do stuff like this (ala C3PO in the prequels) then it just makes the universes feel tiny as a result.

Gentlemen, let's not get too excited shall we? After all this is an 'Alien' game we're talking about.

From RPS:

You, as Amanda, spend most if not all of the game on a single space station, according to our source. There’s only one alien for “most” of the game, our source said…

A game of hide, seek and escape in a single location against a single enemy? I shall pop the cork on this champ…

…you’ll mostly be shooting through “clones and soldiers.”

Remove the champagne and fetch a glass of lukewarm fruit cordial.

Yeah that sounds interesting. I've read somewhere that this would be more focused on stealth and evasion than combat.

EDIT: Lol, I didn't see there was another page.

Isolation will apparently be a first-person shooter that combines stealth and horror to achieve something akin to Dishonored and BioShock, Kotaku learned.

Isolation is apparently on course for a current and next-gen console release (and presumably also PC) at some point next year.

Isolation will attempt to sweeten the bad taste left by Sega and Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines game earlier this year. Already Isolation has apparently been delayed to ensure the quality is up to scratch, missing a planned E3 2013 summer reveal.

Kotaku's information was unearthed earlier in the year, so it's a few months old. It was sat on until the details could be corroborated. Twentieth Century Fox's recent trademarking of the name Alien: Isolation provided Kotaku the nudge it needed to spill the beans.
