KoKo5oVaR Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 I tried. It's the best way to make mortal enemies at your workplace. So i decided i was just doing the graphics. marks, PogoP, Sprony and 1 other 4 Quote
dux Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) Artists moan about the design of their game in the kitchen over cups of tea, rather than telling designers! *ns2 flashbacks* I would get fired from CA so fast... You lot sitting in the kitchen being passive aggressive drinking tea while I'd stroll up to the leads asking wtf they are thinking over some random X decision. Next thing you hear is a table getting flipped and a chair flying out the window. Edited March 24, 2014 by dux Sprony, FMPONE, KoKo5oVaR and 1 other 4 Quote
marks Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 Sounds like what happened when we hired the principal artist from Crytek Nottingham... Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 The only way to get your opinion heard by GDs without them being defensive and fearing of loosing their jobs, is to suggest things to them indirectly and make them think it's their own idea and then praise their awesomeness for having it. Otherwise it's pretty much impossible. Quick guys do it before it's too late Sprony and Pampers 2 Quote
FMPONE Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 I'm kind of a designer/artist, or at least it feels that way, so I think they might just skip the firing part and not hire me to begin with Lord knows, I would not keep my mouth shut if I saw something that bothered me in either area. I don't know how that even works. That said, as for this game, I have a feeling it will be awesome. I don't think this team will disappoint. Even if the game itself doesn't turn out to be that spectacular, it seems like the preview acknowledged that the graphics were something special, and I might have a hard time not buying it just for that reason. I can just see the love in every screenshot. Sprony 1 Quote

In a serious note, it does starts seem to look like this is going to be one of those games joining to the flop series. Quote
marks Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. One journalist didn't like the same demo that every other journalist whos seen it has been raving about. FMPONE 1 Quote
jaboo224 Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 regardless of how the game turns out. The art is fantastic, good job to all involved Quote

FMPONE Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 This already sounded like the kind of game that not everyone was going to love, since it's trying to do something a bit different and ambitious. Even if they did a perfect job going that route, there were going to be some detractors Quote
