zNiiC Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Hey! I just finished my portfolio (think I have enough items to put in there) and wanted some feedback. Currently I only have work from one game but I am in the middle of a level for another game, so images of that should be up in a month or two. Portfolio: http://nickverducci.com/ Quote
Sjonsson Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 I really like the layout and the menus that pop up when you hoover the images. I think that you should add even more documentation for each item rather than adding additional items. Currently I can't really tell if you're an environment artist or a level designer just judging by your webiste, I think you should be very clear with what you are and what exactly you have done in those portfolio pieces. When I look at your current portfolio pieces I can't tell if you did all the assets yourself, if it's just a scene or if it's a playable level. I hope I was constructive enough! =) Cheers! - Stefan Jonsson Quote
blackdog Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Website is cool, i find odd the writing style "Nick has... contact me", i suggest to choose first or third person.Projects have just one or two screens, so they are not very descriptive. Quote
Vilham Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Way too complex to browse, would probably just spend 30 seconds and then move on. Quote
JeanPaul Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Call of duty + small building + heavy fog. Change it up a little! Get some more color in there. Quote
zNiiC Posted September 13, 2013 Author Report Posted September 13, 2013 Thanks for the feedback. I'll fix the writing style to be one point of view. As for environment vs level designer, the asset I used are already created. I take them from the game I mod or export them from other games and just import them. I don't make them, just the bsp Quote
