I've never understood the dislike for Affleck, I've always thought he'd been good in what I've seen him in. I understand he was in some shitty superhero film I never saw, but many great actors have been in shitty films.    He was meant to be amazing in Argo, not seen that yet sadly.

Thrik I really like Ben Affleck, and I also think he's a great director (The Town, great)... I just don't see him as the Batman.

He's not rugged, he look and sounds "soft". The voice doesn't fit imo (sounds "chewy" to me) but most of all his important chin... i already imagine him in the cape and the result is the ridiculous Clooney-Batman.

To be fair I understand the voice, but then Bale doesn't exactly have the most naturally grizzly voice either — he puts on an almost comical gruff voice for his Batman scenes. I dunno, I just have to hope they know what they're doing after Man of Steel and Batman Nolan (which I loved) haha.

I see "Afleck as Batman" as decidedly more "Clooney as Batman" than "Bale as Batman". And that's a bad thing.

I think Ben is a talented guy and a great director. He can act but he's not Batman. He's the Kid who's lunch money is taken every day.

Yeah, I thought about the toons never been into that. And btw that character is un-proportioned (huge torso) which compensate that visual trait, while on a normal body, can't see it working.

Agree on Bale's Batman voice was pretty "forced", but i dug the overall performance because Bale results very rough; we'll se what happens, but i think Ben's voice is too "chewy".
