Pericolos0
We can be proud here at mapcore that alot of people are actually working in the professional game dev industry. But what exactly do you do? I know most people do level design related stuff, but i only have a faint idea of what stuff exactly. So what do you do? Enviroment art? Pure leveldesign? A mixture of this and that etc..?
kleinluka
While my official job title at Ubi is "texture artist" I also do static meshes when needed, unwrap and then texture them. And sometimes I simply sit in my chair and talk to skdr and insta on MSN while drinking some hot chocolate.
TomWithTheWeather
Pretty much everything related to typical level design except modelling and texturing. I do a lot of scripting and gameplay design. The artist makes the props/textures and I place them where I need to.

FrieChamp
My official title is "Intern junior level designer" and so far my work ranges from working together with AI programmers (placing, testing, reviewing, giving feedback aka yelling at them why the stupid AI doesn't do what I want it to do) to general design things, like working out missions with other designers, commenting papers etc.
Hourences
technically lead level artist but since its a small and relaxed company im not really noticing a lot of the lead element:P modelling, texturing and most importantly composing and finishing the levels off with light, particles, special stuff etc not too much gameplay stuff right now
Mazy
Im going as Background Artist atm, which means doing geometry, props, you know, visual shit. Anyway, that includes doing modelling and textures. However the plan is that I'll get back to mapping later~

Schmung
Yes, you're fairly lucky because you have a good start and the know how and stuff to wrok towards it. Pity the old people like me, who have to force new skills upon thei unwilling brains. Not that I'm actually that old, just feels that way sometimes.
