Mapham Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) It is very easy to mistakenly create 1x1 cordon frame, and it happened again. In my last map I just ignored this and created real skybox to compile my map in text phase, but I want to know how to remove cordon frame so I can compile my map with just cordon frame as skybox. blackdog Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 Let me google that for you: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Hammer_Cordon_Usage#Toggle_Cordon_State Quote
Mapham Posted August 1, 2013 Author Report Posted August 1, 2013 That wiki does not guide how to actually remove cordon frame. And if there are more than one cordon frame, then the map does not compile if cordon state is toggled on. So I need to know how to remove additional cordon frames or I have to build real skybox. Thrik Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 There's a good thread about this issue here: http://forums.thinkingwithportals.com/mapping-help/removing-cordon-areas-t7076.html One guy says you can just select them and press delete, but if not there's a manual VMF edit you can make (real mappers use Notepad). Kinky Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 Was about to say. Get your notepad out and clean that badboy up. Quote
blackdog Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 I dunno if it's bugged, hence not working properly, but I read that "deactivating the cordon tool will compile the whole map", so i thought it could suit your use. Quote
-HP- Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 It took me a while to realize what engine were you guys talking about. Next time, please try and put at least "Source engine" on the thread name or something, this is not interlopers xD Quote
Puddy Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 On the right hand side in hammer there is a box called Visgroups. It has a Cordon-tab. Select cordons and delete them manually there. MrSkellyBones 1 Quote
Buddy Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Stretch the condom so it fits the entire map. -HP- 1 Quote
