mkandersson Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) Don't know if this will help anyone but it did wonders for me so I'd though I'd share it anyway. 11 months ago I weigh 115 kilo and now I jump between 88.6 and 87.1 kilo and I haven't worked out at all and I work in front of the computer all day. All I did was using this formula here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harris-Benedict_equation so that I know how much calories I burn every day and then I went about 500-1000 calories under that. Its kinda hard in the beginning refusing all that sugar and all that fast food (at least for me cause I loved that shit) but it was quite easy after 2 - 3 months. If you don't believe me I have a weight loss diary to prove it Edited June 10, 2014 by mkandersson SuperDuperYeah 1 Quote
SuperDuperYeah Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 Went to the doctor's office for that yearly check up. I lost... 20 pounds o_o. What I've done: eat slowly, stop when not hungry anymore, replace fries with salad when at a restaurant... 7 min workout daily. In like... 1 month. I was speechless. mkandersson 1 Quote
Sprony Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 So, it's been 3 weeks. I'm at 102,3 kilo now. So that's 4,1 kilo's lost. Haven't really worked out this week (it's been crazy, almost no sleep at all) and it probably won't happen next week as well. Still, I'm on track. Avoiding junk food and soda is becoming easier. The downside is that my old smoking addiction is really catching up with me. I managed to avoid it thus far but strangely enough, that's the hardest part right now. Quote

Don't let this creep onto you man. Did you just try to ignore it before or you had like... a plan of action ? Some kind of trick when you felt like smoking ? Quote

Some kind of trick when you felt like smoking ? No I always go cold turkey. Which is doable but the lack of sleep weakens one's discipline. Still going strong though. Quote
Sprony Posted June 21, 2014 Report Posted June 21, 2014 It's been 4 weeks and I'm at 102,7 kilo now. Which means I gained 0,4 kilo. Raising a child, not sleeping, not working out, irregular hours and irregular eating (the easy way, take out) does that unfortunately. It's hard to remain disciplined and my goal of 100 by July first is in jeopardy now. So, I have to find a way to get back on track! Quote
ChopperDave Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Just finished my cut last week. About 8 months, went from 205 lbs to 167. Energy levels bottomed out . Back at maintenance now, and when my weight stabilizes it's time to bulk Sprony 1 Quote

Well, even though I'm doing cardio like a man possessed, I'm having a hard time losing weight. This has mostly to do with me still having a lot of problems eating better although I have certainly improved in that area as well. Not really down about it because my stamina has increased ten fold. In the past, I could probably have sex with Dux for 1 minute but now that I'm working out I'm sure I could keep going for like 30 minutes. Anyway, on the 28th of June I was down to 101.9 (week 6) and on the 5th of July I was down to 101.8. So little progress in that department. Meaning I lost 4,6 kilo in 7 weeks (I miscalculated before) and I didn't make my deadline. Quote

FMPONE Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 Losing weight is all about the diet yo. Keep it up. Gotta agree about that. If you add a lot of healthy fats, like coconut oil, avocados, nuts, fish, grassfed beef cooked in an intelligent way, and then don't eat any/many carbs, it's virtually impossible to keep weight on your body because all your body is doing is burning that shit off. Puddy Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 It's time. Going to put some effort into workout/diet as I want to lose some reserve kilos I have. Going to depart from my "eat whatever the fuck I want, when I fucking want"-lifestyle. Thanks for sharing tips and info in this thread (mkanderson most recently)! Current Puddy specs: Height: 1.96m Current weight: 93 kg Highest recorded weight: 103 kg (4-5 years ago) Lowest recorded weight*: 83 kg (after hospital stay lmao) *when fully grown Quote

Dude, in general you might be right but BUT what if you have like to much fats ? 1g of fat is 9calories, 1g of carbs is 4 calories ? IMO stupid is to cut carbs to like less than 150 g per day, you need energy Quote
holiestcows Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I started dieting / exercising in April of 2013 and lost 40 lb to date. Staying with it is all you gotta do guys! Dont give up. cashed 1 Quote

Just make sure it feels smooth for you, your body has been through a lot. When you stop eating horseshit, it detoxes a little bit and so you gotta drank some fluidz Quote
